  1. thanks everyone that makes me feel better i have wrote to them and stated i moved out in 2002. i have reminded united utilities of the same. i also checked out that fair trading web site it says they cannot bother me while this dispute goes through. just hope it gets sorted out soon.
  2. hi people i am new to this site but have read some of ther other threads and people seem to know what they're talking about hear. My problem is with united utilites and advantis credit. Basically Advantis wrote to me a couple of days ago about an out standing bill for a property i moved out of in december 2002. i have contacted united utilties about the matter and they said the bill was for the period of jan 2003 to september 08. they say i have to prove when i moved out of the property but as it was so long ago i have not kept the tenancy agreement for the property stating when i left ( nearly 7 years ago). i left the country for a while and have faxed them my passport with the visa and entry /exit stamps on it. and explained that on returning to the UK i went to live with my parents and have never returned to the property in question. when i left the property i would have closed all utilites accounts. and have never heart anything of this until now and i am worried that this will give me bad credit. I just need some advice as to how to sort this out and what my rights are. Thanks for reading, any advise would be very much appreciated.
