  1. Hi , Im really sorry if ive posted this in the wrong place. Im just wondering can i claim back credit card charges from over 6 years ago ?? Sent a SARS to MBNA but they have sent me NO statements and NO credit agreement just a load of rubbish. I opened the account in 2002, Do they have to send a letter to me to say they are destroying the data if they no longer have the statements ?? How can i get hold of my statements ? The account has been with a debt collection agency for quite a few years now and i understand it has been sold to them. Would appreciate some advice

  3. Hi Im just wondering if anyone can give me some advice please. I do apoligise if i have posted this in the wrong section. I have had a account with additions direct now for probably 6 years. At one point I went through severe financial difficulty and could not pay back what i owed each month so i joined a debt management plan to pay them back so much every month. On the 8/9/07 my balance was £216.42 for the goods I received, I have paid them approximately £186.87 through my Debt Management Plan, making payments every month on time so my balance should now be £29.55 but instead is £866.80 . I have written to them 3 times over the last two years asking them to please freeze interest and stop adding charges as I am cannot afford it and am in severe financial difficulty. I have also asked them to refund the charges they have applied as they are unfair , I have been paying them £18 per month to try to pay this debt off and they have been adding £50 in charges every month for debt letters, adjustment charges and insufficient amount fees . I applied for a SAR and this is how i found out that they had added all these charges. I am now in the process of taking them to court for £800 odd pounds........I have received a letter today stating that they will defend them claim ( from shop directs solicitor) ??? What do I do now ??? Also since this has been going on a few months they have still been adding the charges so now my account is at the £920 mark ,(an extra £120 in CHARGES) can i change my claim to this now ??? or do i just stick with the £800 odd pounds as i originally was taking them to court for?? Any advise or input would be appreciated as it just seems like it is spiralling out of control.
