  1. account only shows on equifax - clearscore as closed balance 0 and no i haven't moved or contacted anyone since the last payment
  2. Hi DX last payment was dec 2017 and the account was closed on credit file 3 months later 2018 creditor was allied irish bank card closed due to brexit it said on the saga letter card debt letter from Saga said to pay it off or it would be sold on to link, since april 2018 had a statement each month showing interest charged, i have not made a payment or ever been in correspondence with link ever and only one letter to saga to tell them i couldn't pay
  3. Early 2000 I was offered a saga credit card @11% apr 3100 limit at the time all the rest were around 19%. I used the card for several years. In 2016 I gotta a letter saying they were closing down the card, it turned out it was issued from a Irish bank and with the brexit vote they were not continuing the offer. Typically. I had used the card to finance a home improvement project as it was cheaper than a loan from my bank at the time. I wrote to the card provider and got a letter back stating no alternative card would be offered and I had 3 months to pay the balance owed, the card was closing. Well I didn’t have the funds to pay and I told them that, the card was put in default on my credit report and then closed. I had a couple of letters from a company sorry I cant remember who but nothing hard just asking for the full balance, I ignored it as I couldn’t pay and I had told them that. About 12 months passed then I had a statement showing my account with interest one month added from Link Financial , nothing else just the statement. I ignored it, since then I get a statement from them every month adding interest that now stands at over 5K. I get the odd email asking for payment no calls or threats my question is can link add 11% to this debt every month? Or is it as I think no allowed. Merry xmas all
  4. Good Day Dx the card was taken out may 2017 last payment made october 2021
  5. its been a long time since I have need your expert help but this one has me confused. Brief overview, Asda credit card issued by Creation several years no problem then Asda closed the card, I got ill no need to labour it but it has left me disabled and mentally ill and unable to pay them. I wrote to Creation explaining everything, I answered one telephone call and told them I could not afford to pay, I remember they came out very aggressively with threats I put down the phone and blocked the number, Equivo letters arrived, they have tried 108 times since then to call me all blocked even though I told them by letter I would not talk to them and only deal by mail. In march 2022 pre court paperwork sent from Equivo, I answered it and filled in I would defend any such action, I requested all the paperwork they had and it did arrive some 90 days after the request. since then we have had back and forth letters stating their client needs this information and that and I have tried to accommodate them, always requesting the debt be written off but the last letter has threatened to continue legal path and obtain a lean on my property. I have always followed CAG reading and taking the advice and I think I have covered all the bases but can they apply for a lean on property without me defaulting on a court order? If it goes to court and I loose I will make an offer to pay a small amount each month but can they apply if I maintain that order? Any advice would be appreciated
  6. Thanks for that, in my letter to them i did say do not call me but they ignored that. I will do that SAR and a separate letter again.
  7. Hello, I have written before on this forum concerning my mental illness and the debt, successfully writing off debt from MBNA. I had a mental breakdown in 2005 and a relapse in 2015 when I fell again into a deep depression. For people who do not suffer with mental health issues, it is hard to explain how things effect you. It’s not I am another person but, I can appear changed and not myself. When I am suffering these episodes my moral compass, well it isn’t there I care not a jot and do things I know can be destructive. I have had great help from social services to help me cope and as I said in a previous post, https://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?489343-tesco-credit-card-amp-freds&p=5142374#post5142374 I do have outstanding debts with Tesco Credit card £7700 owing, still haven’t heard anything from Frederickson or Tesco for an age. PayPal credit card £2200 sent me an email, I have attached that email. This is the first I have heard from them. I noticed I still had a direct debit set up for Tesco I have no idea what it was for so the bank recommended to cancel it, so I did. It was over a month when I got a phone call from Tesco, saying I was default on my loan, what loan, I had no idea. The person asked me several security questions that I couldn’t answer all of them, then they finished the call stating they wanted their payment. I have searched high and low to find out what the loan was but I have no paperwork at all. I vaguely remember clicking on a link on an online statement from Tesco about something. Now I still get monthly statement emails from Tesco but cannot access the account on line. Looking at my credit report I can see a loan over 5 years that I had paid for 3 years and a part account number. I have written to Tesco with the part account number as well as my old credit card number explaining my situation. Since the letter I have had 3 calls a day all blocked, I told them in my letter do not call as I can be very offensive so I don’t answer to any one I don’t know, the phone is there for me to get in touch with my doctors. I have no paperwork for Tesco, I have asked for my information by post and still nothing, when can I say this is getting to be harassment? Your help as always is appreciated edit paypal 1.pdf
  8. it shows as Tesco debt on both clearscore and Noodle on clearscore its on the closed section on noodle it shows as default from 2016 to july 2018 each month they show it
  9. i thought it best to show the only letter i have had fred 1014.pdf
  10. I have been through all the letters sent to me from Tesco, and I can’t find an annual statement but, my monthly statements were on line so I assume the statements might be. I cannot get access on line and haven’t been able too since they sent me the default letter, late 2016 then every month I had another default letter and an you are in arrears letter as well. I then sent a letter disputing the amount of the debt in March 2017 because late fees were added. I explained in a letter my problems, but heard nothing from them for 4 months, when a letter from the complaints department upheld their position and the fees stood. The rest of the time I heard nothing till the first call from Fredric, end of Jan this year. I wrote to Tesco to ask who they were, they said they were handing over to Fredric and I should contact them for anything to do with the account. I have had many ,many calls and text from Frederickson’s some different numbers to catch you out and always a recorded message tell me to contact them. The one letter I have from them offers a discount if I pay up and in the box they state Tesco as the client. I block and ignore all calls and text now, I have too or I start going down the depression hole, the entrance is to close for comfort at the moment. Can I just keep ignoring them? What do you think the next step should be? I know if I do fall down it will take some time before I will be in a position to handle it.
  11. many thanks for the information i will keep my eye out for more paperwork
  12. yes all fredrickson i will keep ignoring them as having read on the site they have no more powers than Harry Potter. but i will keep my eye out should the take it to court
  13. LOL as my wife says I am hopeless. I stopped the min payment on Aug 2016 I was paying an amount less than the min, this continued showing on the credit report as up to 5 months late before it went into default in feb 2016. Since then as I said what happened in the previous post, I have not received any statement from Tesco, when on my Noddle credit report the account shows as open and a default every month, balance fig stays the same, and on clear score it says its closed. But I have looked through the file the last correspondence from Tesco was in Jan 2017
  14. I am sorry i have just seen an error on the original post it should say 2015 not 2005 that’s my mistake. in 2013 i took out the cards and kept everything in order up to my breakdown, and until 2016 august payment was less than they required. This was mostly due to the balance transfer offer coming to an end. I started corresponding with them around March 2017 this was after some time being on my medication. I had correspondence of them but i never had to my knowledge a statement of payments. I can’t remember when it was passed to Fredrickson but I continued to write to Tesco up until Feb this year and still haven’t received a reply. i still have had no statements from them regarding my account
  15. indeed i was so releved when MBNA did that. i have writen to Tesco several times with no responce at all. on my credit report from Noddle it shows from tesco a default every month since sep 2016 even this month, clear score shows it as closed from feb 2017 but a ballance owing. i get quite confused trying to understand them
  16. I don’t know if this will be of interest, hopefully for people in the same circumstances it will be. The history of this is a little personal but I feel it needs to be said. In 2005 I had a breakdown, I had a MBNA credit card with £7000 credit limit when I went on a spending spree and in the interim I applied and got another MBNA card with £6500 limit. During the time of my illness I ran both cards up to the max and I was struggling to make the min payments as I also had several other cards at the time. got these cards by simply applying for balance transfers they were throwing them at me. Needless to say I defaulted on the two MBNA cards. I wrote to them explaining my situation that I was now on medication and to offer a smaller amount of monthly repayments. I made the lesser payments each month and each month they marked it as a late payment default and the balance continued to rise. Eventually I stopped paying, a couple of letters and emails from them stating I was in default. It then went to MBNA debt office, these people were quite aggressive in their emails demanding payment in full and threatening debt collectors. I then wrote to them asking for the charges they kept adding to the account for late payments, I wasn’t late I just didn’t pay the minimum, I also blamed them for putting me in this position, they kept increasing the credit limit so I kept spending and in my condition I had no idea what I was doing. Now on medication, I wrote a strong letter complaining they were the reason I was in debt and they should give me the discount on the advance charges as well as the extra interest cost, I had no reply. Two months later I received a letter from MBNA saying they had written off my debt of over 13k and closed the account. On checking my credit report it shows as closed balance 0 this came as a shock as I had a Tesco card with a large debt on who wouldn’t talk to me regarding my illness and instantly passed it to Frederickson’s. I hope this might help others who suffer mental illness and not to let the credit card co bully them.
