  1. BT has recently increased my monthly payment to more than double what I was previously paying due to me being on the wrong tarriff both for phone (after they removed friends and family landline numbers) and internet. i have recently called them regarding this offering to change tariffs so no extra cost is amounted and sign with them for another 18 months (am currently not tied into a contract) and arrange a monthly payment that I can afford which would cover the new tarriff and ensuer that the previous debit is cleared within the next 12 months. I cannot afford to pay any more than I have offered as I would then not be able to pay my rent or council tax. In fact I have offered the maximum amount I am able to pay. They didn't even listen or consider the proposal instaed telling me the they would still go in for the higher amount. THey didn't care that the payment would be deferred due to lack of funds. and even went a sfar as to tell me they would rather lose my custom than consider an affordable monthly payment. I have had the situation escalated to a level 2 manager now who will apparently phone me back some time today. anyone any ideas on how I can get them to accept payment from me without sending me into further debt in the process?
