hi Sully, just found this site, you might find use full insolvency.gov.uk, another thing to remember a DCA cant just turn up for a doorstep visit, they have to have an appointment. there is a letter on here you can send to them. but for now chin up, you will get there.

the Traffic Management Act 2004 (TMA2004) came into force on 1st April 2008.

with the restriction not being visible due to snow, i think that any PCn being issued could not be legally issued, after all if the CEO cant see the restriction what chance has Jo public. if one is received i would take pictures of where the car is parked, then appeal enclosing the photos, also asking for photo that the CEO took as well. hope that helps

Hi Dotty no dca can door a doorstep visit without an appointment, i remember seeing a letter on here somewhere that you can send to them telling them you will not make an appointment to visit. maybe one of the other caggers might be able to direct you to it.

hi FDMP Well, did you ask them to supply proof of delivery of the default notice. its ok them saying they sent it, but they have to prove that it was delivered.

hi Postggi many thanks for that, contacted orange, who refered me to the geek squad at car phone warehouse, who wasn't interested, so i went to local shop who said phone manufacturer and see what they say, if you get nowhere then come backl as it should be covered for 2 years as the contract is for 2 years, so will be checking with them tomorrow, let you know how i get on, cheers again

hi there, i decided in november 08 to get mobile broadband, the deal i got was from carphone warehouse. this was a 2 yr contract which came with free netbook as part of the deal. now the netbook has developed a fault, the question is: is there anything i can do to get this repaired or is there any recourse with the supplier. many thanks

hi there, sorry to say that the only point i can see wrong with the pcn is the LOCATION where it says A London Street, however where this a london issued PCN i cant offer any further help on this one.

some systems are different than others, you could ask for the printout of the PCN which will give observation periods as well as valve positions, with dis badges on yellow lines they are entitled to park there for upto 3 hours with no return in 1hr. in my personal opinion for CEO to issue a pcn for the contravention, (please can you let me know what the contravention code was), then he/she should have made note of your valve positions to see if you had actually moved, this should have also been recorded in the pocket book.

hi there, your best route to sort this out is via the the traffic penalty tribuneral, now on the basis of colour alone i think it is possible they would uphold the PCN, however looking at the lines in the picture they and the situation that put you on the lines in the first place, they may well look at this sympathetically. their address is Traffic Penalty Tribunal however this should be sent to you when the sent the NtO. hope that helps

there is no dispensation to allow CEOs to stop on DYLs and issue a PCN if they hare using their own vehicle. some councils will supply permits to CEOs in order for them to park in car parks whilst they are carrying out their duties, as THEDOGS says Council vehicles will only be exempt from following the parking restrictions if the local traffic regulation orders contain a provision that says council vehicles are exempt when parked to enable council officers to fulfil their official duties. hope that helps

hi there, is there someone who might be able to advise, i purchased a car in july 07 on finance which came with gap and ppi, costing over 600, looking at documents this morning these policies where assigned to finance company, i cleared the finance in april, this was cleared 18months before due. would i have a claim for refund of ppi/gap.? any and all advise most welcome

hi can anyone advise me on this please, 20th october i recieved a CC Claim from CL finance, no other details/letters recieved, checked my credit file and can see that the defaulted a debt that they purchased in august, still no letters recieved, the claim was dated 20th July , purchased from santander 15th july, can they put default notice on file without sending any letters and how can i get this removed. many thanks in advance

Hi Postggi, thanks for the reply, no I haven't phoned the court for an update, thats on my list for Monday. sent the to make sure I have records to show that this information has been requested by me on more than 1 occasion, to show how inept they are. just looked at credit file and they have put default on it.
