  1. Get hold of that, then we can advise you on writing a letter with your mitigating circumstances.
  2. Your quite right, but it was a 'direct', 'cut and paste' from their site, I missed their error. 'The general advice given by rebel is correct, but this is unlikely to be a County Court matter if TfL pursue it. The usual course of action if a Penalty notice is not paid or successfully appealed within the time allowed is that the notice will be cancelled and a Summons issued for the offence to be heard by a Magistrates Court.'
  3. Also very important, can you get your Oyster Card (Discounted) transport history with payments? This again is very important.
  4. Hi sniper101 Welcome to CAG Firstly calm down. Even though you have your own discounted card, it doesn't entitle you to use your sisters card. You could get a Criminal Record but at the moment you need to try and get an out of court settlement. You need to write to TFL again. How many times did you use your sisters discounted card? You don't need legal representation at the moment. Also you need go to your local underground station and obtain a print out of your travel history. You need that to prove that you have a history of payment to TFL and this is an isolated incident
  5. Hi Chuck9 Welcome to CAG What I noticed late November was that the following:- 'Trying to show a bigger % discount on big ticket items by discounting off the 'RRP' and other % discounts off their 'retail' price.' http://www.amazon.co.uk/forum/deals?_encoding=UTF8&cdForum=Fx1DEIHNWYF5SA9&cdThread=Tx24Z71K20N7TYL You could lodge a complaint with ASA and see what they comeback with. http://www.asa.org.uk/
  6. Hi Halifax https://forms.tsb.co.uk/online_forms/contact_us/email/enquiry/form.asp If your still not getting anywhere, write a Formal Letter of Complaint, mark it as such. Explain what's happened, how they have let you down and what you want them to do:- Dr Paul Pester CEO TSB Bank Paul.Pester@tsb.co.uk
  7. Hi Tek Screw Have a read of the following, it is unfair:- http://www.thisismoney.co.uk/money/experts/article-2196391/Who-I-complain-expiry-gift-cards.html But write a Letter of Complaint, mark it as such. Explain what's happened (had gift card purchased), how they have let you down (unfortunately you have been able to use them in time etc, explain the boys disappointment etc) and what you want them to do (extend the date so they can use them). Sent it to:- Mr Peter Cowgill Executive Chairman JD Sports Fashion peter.cowgill@jdplc.com
  8. Hodgson got it wrong, the press picked the team. He should have kept faith with Cole, more of the older heads. The defence was shocking at times. Liverpool through to the semi's, meet Chelsea.
  9. Hi shortwoman68 I'm sure other Caggers will provide specific information. Here's some info that might help:- http://www.adviceguide.org.uk/england/benefits_e/benefits_help_if_on_a_low_income_ew/help_with_your_council_tax_council_tax_reduction_e.htm
  10. How did you order? How did you pay? Credit Card / Debit Card?
  11. Hi Handaros Welcome to CAG As you rightly point out, the finance company own the car and such, you need to reject it with them. Do not speak to them over the phone, only correspond in writing, send all letters Recorded Delivery. If you have to go to court, it will help your case if you have a paper trial. You will find the finance company a 'tough nut to crack', the dealer will back them up. But you need to persist. Have a read of the following:- http://www.norfolk.gov.uk/view/NCC094699 This is from the Financial Ombudsman: Consumers frequently find the technicali
  12. Hi beanyboo Welcome to CAG How did you pay?, Credit Card or Debit Card. Have a read of the following:- Guidance for Second Hand Car dealers:- http://www.norfolk.gov.uk/view/NCC094699
  13. US and Cuba are to start talks to normalise diplomatic ties in a historic shift in relations between the two countries, US officials say. The US is also looking to open an embassy in Havana in the coming months. The moves are part of a deal that saw the release of American Alan Gross by Cuba and includes the release of three Cubans jailed in Florida for spying. US President Barack Obama will later hail the "most significant changes in US policy towards Cuba in 50 years". http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-30516740
  14. They definately won't withold your travel history. Go to your local underground station, ask for a complete printout. Take some ID with you. How do I appeal against a penalty fare? You have 21 days to appeal against a penalty fare, whether you have paid it or not. Transport for London has to explain why you should pay it. However, if you continue to dispute the payment after 21 days, you could be taken to the county court. If you want to appeal within the first 21 days, write to the Independent Appeals Service. If you are unsuccessful, you’ll be told in the decision le
  15. Hi infinity2022 Welcome to CAG You've got a history of purchasing tickets which is great, you can access your account online, or pop into a station for that. They sent a letter to you to request further info, but you haven't received it. Have they sent you a Penalty Fare (£80) now ? You can still write to them, it's not too late. Explain what happened with a print out of your travel history highlighting the 'tap in' before your card was stolen.
  16. Hi Myfamily Have you contacted your bank? They might be able to reverse the transaction. http://www.directdebit.co.uk/directdebitexplained/pages/directdebitguarantee.aspx
  17. MISSING a parcel delivery while you are at home is annoying - but a postman has been caught posting a missed delivery card without attempting to deliver the package to the addressee who was inside the house at the time. In the time-stamped CCTV stills which will trouble anyone awaiting important Christmas deliveries, the Royal Mail postman can be seen rushing towards the house with only the Sorry We Missed You card in his hands. He is also not carrying the electronic pad to collect the signature and returns to his vehicle just seconds later before driving off.
  18. I'm sure that's all covered in the Employee Handbook. Who said anything about 'singled out'? Doesn't seem to be much managing at all, it's all reacting to events, the company aren't being proactive to individual needs, they seem to be using the 'one fit's' all process.
  19. Contact your Card Provider, ask to carry out a Chargeback. Follow up with an amended 'template', send it Recorded Delivery. Expect them to play 'hardball', send them the evidence you have with the letter, pics etc. http://www.which.co.uk/consumer-rights/problem/how-do-i-use-chargeback Chargeback's are time sensitive, you have 120 days.
  20. You don't need to think, you can 'Google' it, just need to type in the right stuff.
  21. Can anyone name the film from the plot below:- '............................................................................................................................................................................. .............................................................................................................................................................................. ..............................................................................................................................................................................'.
