  1. Hi Poor Boy When you write to the bank again, in your letter state that they are in breach of BCOBS, they shouldn't treat you 'unfairly'. http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/content.php?826-How-Can-BCOB-Protect-You-From-Your-Bank-s-Unfair-Treatmen http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/content.php?849-BCOBS-Round-up-Making-your-bank-treat-you-failry
  2. Hi loomis9301 Welcome to CAG I would get some long recording device / or a micro camera, place them strategically at the entry points to the house. If your at work they will allow you to check whose been in the house. They are inexpensive but will help gather evidence, if anything is going on. I'm not saying it's harrassment, you need evidence for that to be the case. Keep a diary of events. http://england.shelter.org.uk/get_advice/eviction/harassment_and_illegal_eviction_by_landlord/harassment_by_a_landlord
  3. You won't get the whole value, a parital refund, but more then what's been offered to date.
  4. Hi sharemaster You purchased it 3 years ago, how did you pay for it? i.e. Credit Card You shouldn't of paid anything for the repairs if there was a manufacturing fault. The SOGA 1974 would apply, it's your statutory rights. http://www.which.co.uk/consumer-rights/regulation/sale-of-goods-act
  5. Dealers or any other organisation has a right to reply, it's an open site. You make it sound as though the Site Team stops organisations from posting, which is misleading. All we ask is that everyone follows the site Rules. 'What's great about this case is for once a dealer has been allowed to respond with what in their opinion is the case....something which we unfortunately don't see often enough!!!'
  6. We are going for auto promotion, we would be top right now, if we had shown recent form from the start of the season. We lost the first 8 games of the season.
  7. Hi 123NeilyB Write back to them thanking them for the offer, explain that the offer infers that the life span of the product is limited and Sony TV's aren't built to last and are indeed disposable after a couple of years. Whilst their marketing infers quality and products that last a long time. Explain the reasons why you bought the Sony brand and why you feel so let down and what you would accept. Manufacturers even make statements regarding the 'lifetime' of various product categories.
  8. Send the SAR Recorded delivery, they have 40 days to respond, if they don't send them a chase letter giving a further 7 days, then lodge a complaint with the ICO.
  9. Hi bill The template that's in the library is for financial matters, you can amend it to reflect the information you require. Replace the account number with the NI number. Section 7 https://ico.org.uk/media/for-organisations/documents/1128/quick_guide_to_the_employment_practices_code.pdf https://ico.org.uk/for-organisations/guide-to-data-protection/employment/
  10. Guys, they have technology in place, the US has satellites that can read 'The Readers Digest' cover to cover from space. The government will use security cameras already installed to generate automatic fines. Infrastructure already in place. The result, millions in fines to councils.
  11. Fulham win, played average first half, good second half, average overall. Birmingham win again. Tottenham win, but should be scoring more goals. Man City win, without any strikers, Amazon Germany have a few. Hearts win again, I've got two winning teams scary or what. Liverpool play tomorrow.

  13. Hi zeit Welcome to CAG They are merely debt collectors, Primark have suffered no loss, the stock was returned, any other costs are incorporated into their business model. They have suffered no loss. Ignore, if they send further letters, just update the thread with the contents, but don't get stressed.
  14. Hi Michael Welcome to CAG The following applies :- Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/265898/consumer-contracts-information-cancellation-and-additional-payments-regulations-2013.pdf Depending how you paid, you may ask your card provider to carry out a Chargeback:- http://www.which.co.uk/consumer-rights/problem/how-do-i-use-chargeback
  15. It might be an idea to check if the product has been approved for sale in the UK, check for the following symbols:- http://www.btha.co.uk/toy-safety/symbols/ I don't like the sound of 'We had to remove it as it started leaking tiny beads'. 'Better to be safe then sorry.'
  16. Hi soo You were worried about getting this matter resolved before Christmas, now this is going to drag on for at least another month, their workshops will have a backlog. Now they have got the tablet back, send the email as suggested to the CEO. Ask for a refund, see what they offer.
  17. Write to the General Secretary of the Union concerned, they are happy to take your daughters subscriptions, they should do what they say (represent members), represent her in the manner that she would expect, especially as she is covered by the 'Equality Act', having been told that, if the Union fail to represent her, I wonder if they can be held responsible under the 'Equality Act'.
  18. Hi Soo Write a Formal Letter of Complaint, mark it as such. Explain what's happened (purchased tablet), how they have let you down (it's faulty it's been in for repair twice already when you've really needed it) and what you want them to do (replace or refund the tablet - compensation for consequential loss - travel). Send it to:- Mr Graham Stapleton Chief Executive Carphone Warehouse UK StapleG@cpwplc.com Let us know what they say.
  19. Have you considered any of the information in post (4)?
  20. Hi Soo Welcome to CAG Where did you buy it from? SOGA 1974 applies, they've repaired it twice, once shortly after purchase. They should replace it, you shouldn't have to except a third repair. http://www.which.co.uk/consumer-rights/regulation/sale-of-goods-act
  21. Add to Sillygirl's advise, the layout of the letter:- http://southtees.nhs.uk/content/uploads/SAMPLE-complaint-letter.pdf
  22. Speak to them, the clock is ticking.
  23. I don't think there is a time limit.
  24. Speak to the Card Provider, tell them the product is faulty, you want to carry out a 'Chargeback', however the parts are available, you would consider a 'Partial Chargeback' to cover the cost of the parts, as that would be in the interest of all parties. What was the original cost?
