  1. ive taken on this for my mother. Long and short of the query is she took out cover for a dishwasher to be fixed with D and G. - D and G agreed to take over the appliance which is over 12 years old if they could fix. - came out twice last year, first visit asked for some plumbing to be done, second visit a fix was done but to unsatisfactory standards. - the appliance still leaks and the door was fitted back on incorrectly. - i stopped the direct debit due to the poor work and asked for it to be written off due to poor service - since then we are getting alot of chasing letters asking to reset up ddi as the plan needs to be honoured as a repair was done. failure to do so, the debt will be passed onto their 3rd party engineers. do i have a leg to stand to in regards to this or is it wise to pay the balance. i feel we have been cheated with the service.
  2. fantastic. i cannot see a template but have rustled up a letter. will this suffice? Dear Sir/Madam, I am writing to you regarding irresponsible lending for the two debts you hold for me: a/c numbers and amounts. Both loans were taken out in 2011, at a time where i was suffering from financial difficulties. -Loan A was provided despite me having a payday loan rolled over with the same company -Loan B was also provided and rolled over despite having at least 4 other payday loans open at the same time. I feel although i was irresponsible, the lenders at the time lent me the money far too easily leaving me in financial trouble with multiple debts and interested added. I look forward to your reply in this matter. Yours Faithfully, SB2027
  3. brilliant, thanks dx. is there a template in the library for this? does irresponsibvle lending cover DCA taking over the debts? thanks again.
  4. Hello and happy new year all! been a while since i have logged on but i have some queries on this lot. i have had 2 MMF accounts since 2011 - one for a speedloan account and another for National cash advance which i believe have stopped trading in the uk. are these likely to be written off? i already had my NCA account merged with 2 pdl debts which i claimed as SB and they wrote them off. i currently pay £1 a month on both debts

  7. Hello, not sure if anyone has heard of this company before. Long story short - i sent in forms to claim PPI for an old account in around 2009/10 (long before i did things myself). I received a a refund back from Nationwide which they sent me directly. Bank smart claimed they were owed a percentage back then of around £80. i made some payments to them uptil 28/7/10 then heard nothing until yesterday with a threat of CCJ and court papers if nothing paid in the next 10 days. The debt of £80 they say will increase to £300 plus. do i ignore them? have the a right to collect and is it likely they will send out court papers?
  8. My last CCJ is 6 years old on 15/9/2015. will this automatically fall of my CRA files or will i need to apply?
  9. yes he got just short of £1k he got but he accepted all the same. so, do i just send the non acknowledgment of money owed? money paid in PPI should actually be wiped off the debt? thanks for advise.
  10. OK, I need to revisit this thread and ask for some advise. My friend got his payout in the end and ceased the £10 payments a few months ago. Idem/Arden are now asking for £1000 which they claim is remaining on the account. Credit record is clear, this debt has dropped off. How can i get through to this company that surely no further monies are left to pay?
  11. i shall log a complaint to FCA against Cabot. Many thanks for the advise. it is appreciated.

  16. had a reply from Cabot today some 6 months after original defence. Cabot have sent me statements going back to 2007, a reconstituted version of my credit agreement which they claim to be true along with copies of digital signatures. They are giving me 14 days to reply from 4/3/15. i was not sure reconstructed agreements are eligible?
