  1. would you reckon i should get in touch with NWB about this debt, as i find it strange they have not been intouch , also will bailioffs come to my door regards the debt ,
  2. the charges where frozen and intrest its too much hassle disputing the debt , i did try and they sent all my previous statments like holiday bookings ect from 2002 ,but they never sent anything with my signature on them, cant really say i dont owe the debt as ive paid some of it off.
  3. hello the debt was for £1,600 moorcroft did take the money and it came of the ballance ,i don't understand why NWB took over the debt ,i had a letter just after xmas from NWB cards asking to make arrangment i explained i owed council tax and would pay when i got sorted out they sent statements until may ,.
  4. i defaulted on a NWB credit card 2 years ago was paying moorcroft say over a year and i stoped paying , then NWB got in touch saying why i have not paid so i arranged to pay £50 a month , last nov i stopped paying and got statements until jan 2011 , and now we are in july nothing do i get intouch or do you think they are going to take me to court thanks
  5. Get out of banks altogether. I realise that is harder for businesses than for private individuals, but for ordinary non-business customers, why not move to a small building society (a non-bank building society) and work without borrowing. Direct debits (in and out) are still possible and they pay interest on your credit balance. I did ! I have never looked back and, by the way, I don't have anything other than my state and occupational pensions going in but I can control what comes out - and no bank charges !

  8. should i make a monthly payment to wescot say £20 a month would they still take me to court , i would set up a standing order but i read on this site they could empy my account ,which surley they couldn't do that . anyway thanks for all the info ..
  9. i'm worried at going to court as i will be charged court costs .
  10. they where charges but now its too late as if i don't pay up in 10 days it will go to court , do u think i should offer a payment to wescot or see what the court does cheers.

  12. yes i did ring Abbey and they said they had sold the debt to wescot so i can't pay to Abbey , .

Do they have a valid agreement not sure Was the account defaulted correctly nope Was the account terminated it was closed so Abbey told me Did you receive a Notice of Assignment nope the debt is for £730 i was going to pay abbey , i don't want to pay wescot so would wescot get nothing if it went to court ? also will the court let me pay so much a month thanks for the info.
  14. the debt was sold to wescot. not sure if they have a valid agreement. basically if i let it go to court hAVE I TO ASK THE COURT ABOUT THE THINGS YOU QUOTED ..
  15. so what do i need to do now ask wescot for a cca it was for a overdraft .
