  1. After a recent check of my credit file I found that Orange Broadband put a 1 marker for the month of January 2010 and a 2 marker for February 2010. This was due to Orange transferring calls when starting a broadband package, which they were not instructed to do. The bill of around £12 was outstanding and has now been cleared by Orange. After raising this with Orange they have amended my credit file to show Q for both months, but say they are unable to change this back to a 0. Why can they not change this to a 0 as it is not my error? Is this likely to affect me gaining future credit including a mortgage? Thanks, Tom
  2. Following an accident in Febuary this year when the roads were icey I had a large accident, lucky with only me involved, due to the ice. I ended up hitting a lamp post and when the claim was processed I had to pay my excess of £900 to Lloyds TSB, and the car was wrote off due to the side impact. It was also in the local paper that there was not enough grit for the roads. How could I find out when the road had been gritted, and could this be used to claim part/all of the excess? Lloyds TSB have advised me that the local council would have to accept liability and pay the entire claim, but I see this as a lengthly process. Is there anything I can do to recoup any of this excess due to the weather conditions? Act of god etc. Tom
