  1. That sounds great....... thank you so much. I will get DH to cancel DD and I will certainly argue against that charge!!!!
  2. My husband took out a payday loan with these people at the end of last month when we were having some big financial issues!!!! After discovering this wonderful website we now know what a stupid thing it was to do ! Our problem is this, we changed bank accounts but DH forgot to inform work of this and his pay due on Thursday will be put into the old account, so the DD to PTP will not go through and we will incur a bank charge now as well as charges for them even though we can pay them back on the day. They have been very unhelpful in regard to helping us resolve this issue and as I h
  3. right my lump sum is now paid and the repossession I have been told is being stopped. I rang their solicitors who advised me that I will have this confirmed to me in writing and that Capstone had indeed called them to cancel the repossession. No feeling of relief yet though until I receive that letter from them, I just dont have an ounce of trust for them!!!!! Once I receive that my next course of action will be to try and get these charges I have incurred sorted out because that would probably take me out of arrears completely!!!! Any suggestions how to go about that?
  4. I have actually received the order from the court in the form of 3 notices of eviction, for me, my husband and a joint notice. I am aware that I can fight this in court but dont feel I would be strong enough too, last time we went to court for the suspended order I just sat there like a meek little mouse and accepted the fate they dealt me. Now I am back at work and we know we have money coming our way, our aim is to simply pay and clear these arrears and hopefully at that point we can remortgage with a better company if the market picks up. We are looking into claiming about bein
  5. Would really appreciate some advice please! Have got the money in my account to pay the arrangement I have come to with Capstone. Before I do is there anything I need to ask/say to them as I dont want to part with all of this money and then they suddenly go back on the agreement and go ahead with the eviction which is set for 19 October. The last time I spoke with them they said that they would contact their solicitiors once I have made payment to stop the eviction, how long does it take them to contact the courts solicitors for this as it is only a week away and despite my apparant coo
  6. I dont know if you can, but dont see why not, but you could ask the council to see the deeds to your property as that should state all charges placed on that. I only know this as I briefly worked for that department at my local council a few years ago (about 10 yrs actually:oops:) That at least will tell you if the loan is secured or not and then I would assume (please experts advise if I am wrong) you would have a clear case of a loan being missold!
  7. Ahhh bless you, you have brought tears to my eyes and I am at work!!!! Well Done, Well Done, Well Done!!!!!!!

  9. I to live in Swindon and have had the "pleasure" of Chandlers bailiffs at my door! I dont live in the best area in Swindon and have seen this one particular bailiffs red van around where I live dozens of times! When he arrived at my property he insisted on adding a charge for the hire of this damn vehicle, which I clearly stated to him I would not pay as this van is clearly not hired and if it was the hire charge was excessive as he uses it every day so why on gods earth should the charge be directed only at me!!!! Also whilst very cold and wet made him stand on my doorstep....... p
  10. Hi, hope everything goes well for you today. Just wanted to say I am kind of in the same boat, I have a friend who is lending me money to clear my arrears, sounds great I know but have had to lie about where the money is coming from to the mortgage company as they say it is paying credit with credit and wouldnt accept it. I am in a salary plus bonus based job and in my I&E have only put down my basic salary as income and have told the mort co a "small" white lie of i am getting an advance on my bonus cheque......... seems to have worked!!!! Just mentioning in case your co have the

  12. just spoke with my friend all the details I have are correct including their address. it seems that they were forwarded to them by a company called DLC Global, unfortunately they cannot remember if it was them or Lloyd Williams they paid the money to. I also cannot find DLC Global on that site either.
  13. well have visited the CMR and guess what........... they are not on there at all. just going to double check that I have spelt everything correctly but not giving up! Thank you for your words of wisdom it is much appreciated.
  14. How much did you actually borrow from them? In my experience with the delightful Welcome Finance (what a lovely bunch they are!!!!!) I thought they only took loans of over £3K or £5K as secured on your home. I am sorry but a boiler over £3K doesnt seem right to me, I would look into that as well once you have sorted out the loan business. Also surely they would have had to get permission from your 1st charge mortgage company????? I don't know a lot but I would not trust Welcome as far as I could throw them and wish you all the best in getting this sorted, dont be scared of them tha
  15. Have been watching your post but have no great expertise or knowledge to offer you only understanding to what you are going through as like many many others on this site have and am still fighting to keep my home! Good Luck today keeping everything crossed for you.

  17. Have been reading your thread over the last few weeks, keeping everything crossed for you today xxx
  18. Has anyone ever heard of this firm? This post is really on behalf of a friend who paid them £199 in November to claim to get his PPP on a loan with Ford Credit back, he has heard nothing since and when he calls them can only get answer phones. I think he has been in the nicest possible terms "ripped off" but not sure how to go about helping him in firstly getting his money back and secondly getting his PPP refunded. Any suggestions would be most appreciated
  19. Are you paying the extra £50 per month as well? Maybe do an income/expenditure form ready for your next conversation with them, I have had the same problem with my mortgage co, they did the same thing, I actually filled out the i/e form which was given to me by the guys on here so was prepared, they then agreed to my repayment plan. That way at least you stop that extra charge. Not much but hope it helps a bit and also bumps your post up for the experts to see it:)
  20. I am sat at work reading this thread with amazement, the knowledge you guys have is outstanding:)! I am more than happy to write to my MP, what sort of things do you suggest we say, I have no clue at all as to what could possibly have some clout but will with pleasure if someone could advise.
  21. Hi Landy, sorry to butt in here but just to let you know that the company I work for has managed to get money back from PPI from Swift so dont give up trying, it may just take a little longer than average and should certainly be worth the effort in the long run !
