  1. Morning!!! So pleased that you are getting everything in order, I really dont think you have too much to worry about. There are so many things you have going in your favor the MRS for a start!!!! It's not like your arrears are that high really just sounds like Abbey being stroppy;) You have made a payment now, like Ell said showing your committment. Your doing everything right, listen to Ell, she knows what she is talking about keeping everything crossed and wish you well:)
  2. I work for a claims management company and yes of course you can do this yourselves, its not rocket science, but many people just can't be bothered with the hassle of it all, so company's like the one I work for are a benefit to hundreds of people!!! We have stopped taking on CCA cases just stick to PPP's but have in the passed worked closely with BF and all the staff there are really lovely and from what they have told us recently they are no longer charging upfront fees for CCA's and getting any monies off the other side. I love my job, we get to help so many people it's really ni
  3. I have now emailed their customer relations team detailing my complaint to them, had a automated response sayying its being looked into. My dear friend Gavin hasnt responded to his email either, I am assuming he is too busy trying to scare people with his pathetic telephone manner!
  4. Deffo keep everything in writing. I would be a bit wary of paying them by SO as this may give them access to your bank account again. We have asked for PTP's bank details so we can pay into their own account which they have refused to give me!!!! Good luck with it all, everything will work out in the end
  5. I think I will have a party when that happens:D. I am about to lodge a formal complaint with their head office in Malta about their staff's behaviou, but actually going to ask my father in law to write it for me in Maltese as well as English!!!! Think I will lodge complaint with FOS too just for good measure
  6. Oh god thats awful of Abbey. I would say that all those points should be made but would advise you wait for someone like Ell or Jansus to take a look at your thread before entering your N244 form. They can advise properly on what you should put. I would say that you should resume your payments as this can only look favourable on your part. I was in the same situation and managed to avoid court by paying a huge part of my arrears after a friend lent me the money!! Hold tight until the experts come along

  8. I know the feeling. This has been going on since the 15th October. I think he is a stubborn man who just wants to upset people. I do quite enjoy sending him my emailed replies as I get a chance to think about what I am saying!!!! Just want the whole sorry mess to be over. I will NEVER NEVER NEVER again take out a payday loan it just isn't worth it!!! Try not to stress too much Looby Lou there is (I hope) going to be a lovely light at the end of this blimmin dark tunnel x
  9. I have replied to his email like this Gavin, Firstly, the reasons behind being unable to pay in full are basically that we have a large mortgage with arrears and to keep our house we have to pay a lot extra to clear them. I hope that this is clear enough for you. Secondly if you refer to my earlier email, I have provided you with a comprehensive payment schedule if you care to look at that.
  10. We have briefly explained our reasons but he and I quote says "I won't be giving out any bank details until you clearly state why you can't pay in full and secondly what you would offer as a payment" I have already given him a detailed list of our proposed payments can the man not read????
  11. The lovely Mr Armstrong has today emailed saying that we must explain the reasons for wanting a payment plan, is this correct?? Do we have to by law explain the ins and outs of why we are in financial difficulty? I have asked him for bank details to make payments to but he will not give those out until we explain in full. Can someone please help
  12. what does anyone think about the likes of SPML/Capstone being investigated by FSA I understand 3 others are, is there anyway to find out????
  13. I cant remember what fees I had from them, my mortgaged was moved in Nov 2007. Up until very recently my finances were all over the place and they did take me to court for repossession but court ruled for suspended order of possession so still have the property. I am truly hoping that I can get something back from them as it would be a blessing in disguise and hope that these other subprime lenders get a kick up their rear ends too!!!
  14. Gavin does make me laugh, what an ignorant plank he is!!!!! He cant even give me the address of head office so I can make a complaint, apparantly customer services does that. He tried to threaten my 9 year old on Friday that daddy will be in trouble if he doesnt call him back. How low can someone go!!!
  15. Oh and on Friday last week he Gavin Armstrong actually told my 9 year old daughter when he called that "Daddy will be in trouble if he doesnt phone him back" just remembered that. Will use in next email!
  16. I have now started to receive emails from them stating that I have had no contact. Quite simply I forwarded the emails we have sent there were 4 of them and told him that this constitutes contact!!!! He then sent quite an aggressive email stating that as my husband swore at him down the phone and that a 3rd party will come any way they wish including door to door! I replied that we would not be party to abusive and aggressive and threatening tactics and was glad the call was recorded as he called me a liar on the call and this is slanderous by law!!! We shall wait and see what comes next.
  17. I thought I would give you a quick update. We took your advice jackieandwayne regarding the feeding issue immediately, my DH found it hilarious and it already seems to be working. This evening I was able to feed Oscar first with Sox sat next to me and ..................... no lead!!!!!! Ok I did have to stop her a couple of times from trying to eat his food but she is seeming to respond to me with a little respect. The other advice that I was given from the dog behaviourist was to stop her sitting with me on the furniture like it was her god given right and only to allow her if she was
  18. pay the council what you can, they cannot refuse to take payments and most either have an automated system or computerised one. set up a standing order that way the payments will go to them regardless. Do not deal with the bailiff or let them in. If it were me I would request a breakdown of your account from the council so you know where you stand in terms of how much you owe.
  19. that sounds hopefull, I am 100% sure I had charges for those items too!!!! Fingers crossed we should get some extra pennies in time for christmas!!!!!
  20. does this only apply to their existing customers, we had a mortgage with them between Sept 2004 til Nov 2006 just wondering if we may be entitled to something
  21. Well still in my home and have actually had some good news from Capstone!!! Our fixed rate comes to an end at the end of November, which is a crippling 8% about LIBOR!!!!! As of 1st Jan the rate (variable) will be 3% above LIBOR and hence our repayments will be halved so making everything much more affordable and I think I can actually look forward to christmas now with a bit extra to spend!!!!! Thank you everybody for your support and advice, without sites like this people are none the wiser and once I have extra pennies each month will be making a donation to the site. Kind of fe
  22. Jackieandwayne thank you so much. What you have said seems to fit the bill perfectly!!!! We feed them separatly but will start feeding oscar first with sox on her lead watching him as you have suggested. Oscar bless him seems to just let her get her own way and not react!!! My hubby certainly treats her like a dog and shows Oscar much more love than her and when he tells her to stay she will!!! When we are out on walks unless hubby is there I take them separately as she seems to attack him when we are out, almost like she is missing out on something!!!! I have let her be a "lap d
  23. Thats the plan but have been told today that I cant do it for about 3 months after her season. Have thought about buying a cage to put her in for the couple of hours we are all out and at night just to keep Oscar safe but personally dont like the idea of cages.
  24. Hi all, I have a 10 mth old corgi bitch and a 9 yr old male mongrel (lovely, placid, couldn't want a better dog!!!). My corgi keeps going for my male dog Oscar. We know that she is in season and has been for about a week. We plan to have her spade when we can and hope that helps things. She is never agressive to me or my children just poor Oscar. I have contacted a behaviourist who has advised me to keep them separated when alone whilst she is in season but this behaviour scares me and the kids and also Oscar. She never goes for him when my husband is home and I can get her off him
  25. My PTP phone nightmare ended when I emailed them to tell them I will only deal with them in written correspondance. OK I had to send the same email 3 times but that was last Wednesday and havent heard from them since. Just waiting for clarity to contact us now. It seems PTP will give up contacting you if you are persistant with what you say. NEVER AGAIN WILL I TAKE A PAYDAY LOAN:)
