I can't always promise we won't make mistakes, but we will do our best to sort them out. Its a shame that I hear about your complaint through a website - rather than directly when I can help you out.   2. Coniff, I have not given up anything. Your implication that I am not who I say I am by using quotes around my name is rather silly as my name is plastered all over our website. As someone who is not a customer of nuyuu, who comments on things about my business that you have no first hand experience of - I have nothing to respond to. If you ever become a customer, or have a question about a specific thing concerning your own membership, I will be happy to speak to you directly rather than anonymous posts on a forum. You know my name, I don't know yours.
  3. Conniff, Sorry, your quote above is unclear. All terms and conditions are available to be read by a member when buying, as well as when they join they receive a confirmation email with a copy of all the information that they agreed to and their terms. Our memberships are sold on 3 different levels, Annual 12 month Direct Debit agreements, Month to Month Direct debit agreements with no Contract, and Short Term Paid in Full memberships with no contract. Unfortunately the quality of the data we received from LA fitness meant that a few mistakes like this occurred.   7. Dear Feckenhamster I believe that as MD I apologised personally for this mistake that was made. Nuyuu can only work on the basis of the database quality that we received from LA fitness. When a mistake is made and the data resulted in a Direct Debit withdrawel being made - we act very swiftly to rectify the situation. It is not intentional and unfortunately with IT systems mistakes do occur, which we will always do our best to fix immediately. Again I apologise for the inconvenience to you. Regards Ben
  8. Dear Samba Could I just confirm that for us or LA fitness to have your details, you will have had to have been a member of either company previously. Nuyuu provides three types of membership options including Annual 12 month memberships, No Contract Direct Debit memberships (which can be canceled at anytime with 30 days notice), and Short Term cash paid memberships. We are the only company in the country that offers such a broad and transparent range of membership options. As such, the terms of the membership that you are buying are clearly displayed during the buying process,
  9. Hi, would just like to confirm the facts regarding your comments. Nuyuu only provides a joining process through our website, it does not involve Sales teams, or Manual Membership agreements. To this end, it would have been impossible to join nuyuu without agreeing to a Direct Debit mandate. As well as this, you receive a Welcome email (when an accurate email address is given) that confirms the terms and conditions, type of membership and details that you joined up for.   11. Happy Mittens, this is again not accurate. Only certain members had access to ALL LA fitness sites, about 12% of the total LA fitness membership base. This was also based on a term of membership stating that primary usage must be at the home gym. If someone has one of these memberships, they are able to cancel immediately. There has never been any issues with this, so I am not sure the problem you are bringing to this forum? Regards Ben
  12. Hi You were misinformed. We offer no contract memberships as well as 12 month memberships, pricing is transparent and simple. For 2 months at East Grinstead, it would be £20 joining fee and then £24.99 per month for gym only access. For full pricing, please visit the club and speak to Alex. Regards
  13. I notice a lot of comments above, but few with any accuracy. We are handed an existing contract with LA fitness that is linked to a 'home club' that contract is valid as legally the fulfillment of the facilities you pay for are linked to a physical site, not a brand. As such we are within our rights to collect monies due for these services. There have been cases where the data passed to us from LA fitness was poor and some previously cancelled members were given to us as active members. This was a mistake on LA fitness' part and we are refunding directly anyone who can show us that they cancel

Benhorton Thanks, appreciate the difference between 3 and 83 - we are looking to provide some basic fundamentals at our clubs which members have not received at many of the bigger chains - cleanliness, friendliness, and a real focus on Customer Results - the real reason people go to gyms - not for swimming pools, treadmills, or anything else. We hope at some point that you will be able to experience the brand of nuyuu at a location near you! Good luck Ben
  15. benhorton nuyuu has started taking your direct debited amount under the terms of your membership that now resides with us, we are entirely within our rights to do this. If you don't wish to continue with nuyuu, you are able to cancel your membership as anyone wishes to. If you have been into the club, and if your address details were correct - you will have received numerous communications letting you know how and when the members will all have a chance to change to nuyuu pricing. Nationwide access is available to you, but unfortunately won't get you far with only 3 clubs currently!
