  1. Letter from Virgin (MBNA) Thankyou for completing an Income and Expenditure form. Please contact to discuss the details. So I rang them, went through the FS with them and confirmed all the details. Then told me they can't accept my £6 offer as it is not 1% of the outstanding balance which would enable them to maintain the account and freeze interest and charges. If I had £900 they would accept that as a final settlement, I was asked if I had the money or could come up with it, borrow from a friend or relative. Was told that I shall be put on a hardship queue, 3-4 months and then the ac

Call us immediately to enable us to assess your eligibility for one of our specialist programmes. suspending interest and fees accepting me onto a reduced payment plan stopping collections activity, including calls to you home, mobile and place of work treating my account as up-to-date meaning no arrears will be reported to the CRA not registering a default with the CRA Well, I rang them to be told I am not eligible for any of these and they are not able to accept my reduced payment plan

  4. Still awaiting one more reply but I think I shall now send out a FS accompanied with an 'Offer' letter to all of my creditors, unfortunately it will only be either £1 or £2 offered to them but this is all I can afford so hopefully they will accept this for the time being.

  8. Second letter received in response to my 'Ask Creditors to hold action on accounts' Letter is from Virgin (MBNA) stating: 'Thankyou for your recent letter, the contents of which have been noted. We appreciate that you are experiencing financial difficulties and look forward to being able to discuss a level of repayment that would be acceptable to us. 11. As far as I am aware none of my creditors know I have a mortgage/property other than Barclays, how would they find out that I do have a mortgage/property? I certainly do not intend on informing them of this and that is why earlier I asked if I should put Mortgage or Rent on my FS, surely if I put 'mortgage' it will bring it immediatley to their attention, now that would be silly, however if I put 'rent' this would account for the expense monthly and disguise the expense. Would it be right to do this? How would they find out otherwise, what resources are at their disposal?
  12. Well, I suppose getting bad credit markers is the least of my worries for now. The only concern on this for me in the short term is that it will have a detrimental effect on gaining employment with certain institutions thus limiting gainful employment as credit checks are run by most companies on potential employees. It seems a bit silly really as I am actively seeking work to get me out of this mess and the very people I am trying to pay back are causing this dilemna. I do not have any intention of applying for further credit from anyone, stores, cc's or bank loans EVER!!
  13. As well as receiving JSA I am also getting CTB - Council Tax Benefit i.e. I do not pay a penny towards council tax, although I receive this benefit it is paid direct to the Council and not to me directly so not considered as an income therefore it has not been included in the FS.
