  1. Hello all, just a quick question: I have been discharged from bankruptcy for over a year now, and have a STEP account with Natwest. My question is do Natwest give a time scale/account activity criteria to upgrade to a better account? Many thanks, Rockrats.
  2. Nightmare4banks, many thanks for your replies, they are much appreciated.
  3. I know, live for the now and all that. Could be a while before transfer and subsequently mortgage anyway.....!! God this is so hard?????!!! Never been in this position before
  4. I have a Ducati 996, want to part ex it for a Ducati 1198
  5. Hello all, I am looking to buy a new motorbike within the next few months, over 3 years finance. During the next 2 years (when job transfer comes through) we will be relocating to Plymouth, and taking the first step on the property ladder (Discharged bankruptee Nov 08.) My question is as follows: When a mortgage advisor type person says we can have '£x' amount mortgage, is the bike finance took off the 'total' beforehand? Or does car/bike finance have nothing to do with a mortgage/wages equation? Hope that makes sense? I would hate to go ahead with the finance, then find out we are not allowed as much mortgage because of finance.... Thankyou in advance
  6. The house actually went for less than we paid for it! Contacted Northern Rock, they said the file says it was voluntry repossession. Also, just a thought, we paid 95,500 for house. When we applied for - and were accepted - the loan, house was worth only 109,000!!??? So there was never enough equity in the house to begin with lol! You feel i should just ignore there demands and hope for the best, or, write to them or maybe my OR for advice?
  7. So, is this correct: The house was repossesed, and then because the house no longer mine, the secured loan then technically becomes unsecured? Just want to get an idea if they can actually screw me for this cash? Was confused because absolutely no record of them on my current credit file. Cheers for your help so far..
  8. I have moved re done this thread in the bankruptcy section, think maybe i posted in the wrong section to start with lol!
  9. Hi all, Some time ago I had a secured consolidation loan on my house (pre divorce) with Endeavour Personal Finance for £50,000. I went bankrupt in November 2007, discharged for over a year now, and the loan was included in the bankruptcy. I have just been handed a letter from my ex wife (they dont have my address!) from Lightfoots Solicitors a standard 'pay up now or court action' letter. I have recently checked my Experian credit file, and there is no record whatsoever of the Endeavour loan. I thought this forum would be my first port of call - i do not want to ring them, am intending all corresspondance (if any) to be via recorded delivery. Any ideas/experiances/advice i can take on board to try and clear my name?!!! My ex wife also went bankrupt but i can only assume she never included the loan for some reason?

  11. Hello again, defo gonna write the letter - i totally see your point! Sorry for be naive, but what is 'RD' that i have to send to Egg? Its probably staring me right in the face lol!!
  12. It says: defaulted 17/10/2006 file updated for the period to 8/11/2009 :-?
  13. Hi reallymadwoman! The default date is 17th Oct 2006. So....only 3 years to run yes? Think i'll ignore it LOL!
  14. Hi all, am 1 year discharged bankrupt, checked my credit file via Wxperian and the only thing on file was the Egg card still???!!!! Even though this was included in my bankruptcy?! It is marked as 'defaulted' but still shows i owe approx £7k. I have heard nothing from anybody in the past couple of years regarding this. It says default accounts removed after 6 years - is there anything i can do to remove or just have to sit tight? Cheers folks!!
