  1. Thanks, I only intend to pay the original loan and 3 weeks interest (254) ... they can add whatever they like on but I won't be paying it.
  2. I have noticed the site has been down for the last couple of weeks. Maybe trying to get regulated under the FCA before operating again. However, think they are the same company as creditondemand - as the website is almost identical.Won't be sorry to see these muppets go bust as they passed my debt to Adept Credit Solutions who insist on adding daily interest to the debt that was passed over to them.
  3. Thanks. I have left notifying 247 Moneybox to the end want to speak to them first before sending them a letter about defaulting on the account. WDA and PDUK also confirmed acceptance of repayment plan within 24 hours without adding any further charges. Quite impressed at the quick response from them all. For anybody who needs help with a email/letter template this is what I sent to the 4 payday companies. Before sending this I would advise for you to report your existing debit card as lost/stolen and once you have received you can notify the payday companies! Dear Sir / Madam RE:- ************** I am writing in reference to a loan of £***.** taken out recently. Since entering into this agreement my financial circumstances have changed and I now find myself in a position where I am unable to meet the full repayment or extension / deferal payment on my next paydate of **/**/**. I am proposing a repayment plan to repay this debt in full as below. £**.** per calendar month payable on **th of the month commencing **/**/** calculated as the original loan amount + 1 month's interest. Please advise of the total amount of this loan being the initial amount borrowed plus one month's interest to enable me to calculate the final payment and setup standing order payments. I also request that you provide details of the bank account which I can make payments into. I cannot make payments by any other method. As in line with published guidelines by many regulatory authorities I request that you only contact me regarding this matter via email to this address as I will be able to reply to any emails very rapidly and prefer this as a means of communication. I hearby revoke your authority to collect any transactions from my bank account under Regulation 55 of The Payment Services Regulations 2009. Any transactions taken from my account will be deemed as unathorised and will result in a complaint being made t o the OFT. Any note to contact my employer / workplace by telephone will be in breach of the Communications Act (2003) s.127 and this will be reported to OFCOM, Trading Standard and the OFT. I regret that I cannot make the full repayment of this loan at this time but I am doing my best to resolve this issue as quickly as possible. I await your reply. Yours Sincerely
  4. Can no longer afford to keep rolling over my loans with the above 4, all due for repayment next week.Emailed them all earlier today advising I will be defaulting, already cancelled bank card and cancelled direct debits.TXT LOAN already replied and confirmed they will accept my offer of 351 over 4 months to repay a 300 loan - with no additional interest and charges - Thank You Very Much Text Loan.Awaiting for the other 3 to get back to me to confirm acceptance.Only going to start paying them if they agree to the original loan + 1 month's interest. Will be glad to hear from anyone who has dealt with 247 Moneybox as other forum posts for WDA and PDUK look favourable to repayment plans. Thanks All.
  5. Does anybody have an email address for Cahoot Collections department? Many Thanks!
  6. Took about 4 months for mine to go to a DCA - was never going to agree for repayments over 3 months so just ignored all the emails and voicemail messages from them for ages ! They only added 1 default charge of £12 and no further interest so happy days ! If you dont want them hassling you all the time change the contact numbers and employment details before you default ! They only had my mobile as a valid number and was always some American from QQ requesting me to call them. Never called them once! Now dealing with Mackenzie Hall and repaying £50 per month.
  7. Hi On the Mackenzie Hall website there is an option to download a standing order form - on that is there bank account details - so I supposed you could take these and setup an online standing order quoting the M reference as your payment reference. Sort Code 83-25-15 Account 00298927 I currently pay via debit card each month but will probably setup a standing order when I get chance! Good Luck.
  8. no probs, it took 3 or 4 emails back and forth but worked eventually !! other points i made where:- - As a DCA surely you must understand I can only afford what is reasonable and I am not going to leave myself short as I do no intend to apply for credit elsewhere. - threatened to add this debt to my debt management plan meaning a repayment approx 10 per month !! - I am aware of the action that can be taken to recover this unsecured debt and I am sure any court will recognise I have made a reasonable offer on this debt that you have declined - and any court action may result in reduced monthly payments of approx ?10.00 per month if this debt is added to my debt management plan.
  9. I have dealt with WONGA and Payday Express. The sooner you default the better Wonga - email them now ([email protected] or [email protected]) and tell them you can no longer afford to repay this debt and setup a repayment plan for say 50 per month .. you can always email them later [email protected] for a reduced settlement offer. Try offering them the initial loan plus 1 months interest. Payday Express - will setp repayment plan if you send I&E .. I did this but was later sent to Castlebridge Credit Management (think they are internally linked to Payday Express as the letters come in the same envelopes !!) .. managed to setup a repayment plan at a reduced rate paying £100 less back !!
  10. dont pay the full amount to WONGA .. make an offer via email to [email protected] for the loan and 1 months interest and see what reply you get.
  11. I have an agreement with Wonga that I was keeping too then received a letter from Roxburgh for a stupid amount almost 3 times the balance outstanding! A few emails and phone calls sorted this out. I was paying Wonga £10 per week on a 800 debt ... was getting a bit bored with this so emailed [email protected] to request a reduced settlement on the outstanding £400. They agreed a reduction to £250 if I repaid within 3 months. Worth a try if you feel you can me a realistic offer on what is outstanding. Go for 50% of the outstanding amount. Good Luck.
  12. email from Siobham Wheatley of Mack Hall I have reviewed your account and can confirm I shall accept your offer of ?50 as a goodwill gesture. Happy Days !
  13. Hi My QQ account has recently been passed to Mackenzie Hall for approx 650. Received a couple of letters from them like the one above and offered them 50 per month. Was refused a few times - I just kept emailing them telling them this is all I can afford and I will make payments via the website even if they do not accept the payment arrangement. They originally wanted repayments over 3 months - if I could afford that I would have arranged to pay QQ over this time. Now they have bought the debt from QQ they can wait for the money over a time period that suits me !! I had a number of other payday loans with Wonga, PTP and Payday Express that I am paying off monthly - my offer was finally accepted when I sent an email as below: As you are aware payday loan lenders charge excessive interest rates due to the high level of risk with their borrowers. In order to get off this roundabout of payday loans with multiple lenders I had to default on all these loans - these also included other lenders such as PTP, Payday Express and Wonga. Having coming to agreements with all of these lenders with monthly repayments ranging from ?40-?50 >>> I cannot understand why yourselves are not willing to accept my repayment offer - and will only recognise any payment as a token offer. Therefore, I may just as well make a token payment of ?1 a month and let a judge decide on a reasonable monthly repayment! Good luck and keep emailing them with the same offer - they will accept eventually - keep everything in writing (via email)
  14. barclays bank account name: express finance account number:30066850 sort code:20-24-61 Ref: your surname and payday express account number
  15. I recently defaulted with PTP and within a month it was passed to Clarity. I advised PTP I could only afford to repay over 6 months and unable to agree to anything else. Only spoke to them twice on the phone and sent them loads of emails stating the same thing over and over again. The £59 default charge was added when passed to Clarity, and I have since agreed repayments of £75 per month. Clarity even offered a discount of approx £200 on the original loan as soon as they chased me for repayments ! I have made 2 repayments todate and will be looking to offer a full and final settlement this month of £300 to repay this debt. I have just defaulted with QQ, not received any calls yet - I have sent emails offering repayment offers and still awaiting response. I have cancelled my debit card and switched my salary to another account so they cannot reinstate any direct debits they might have ! Will just have to wait until this is passed to DCA I think as I do not think they are willing to accept repayment over 6-7 months ! Good Luck !
  16. Good advice Claire...I did this several weeks ago anyway - changed my work number to a local chinese chippy ! ...only had 2 calls to my mobile so far. I have no problem speaking to them and paying the money back so long as they get the message that they are not getting the money back in one lump ...so either they agree to 6 repayments of £100 or I wait until it goes to a DCA. From what I have read they do not accept anything over a couple of months and will eventually pass to Clarity. Think I might start ringing them everday and letting them know I am prepared to pay but on my terms!
  17. I have kept the payday loans outside the DMP. Wonga and QQ accepted monthly repayments. PTP - still in the process of waiting for them to pass to Clarity as they will probably not accept payments for 4-5 months !
  18. Willo I reached a similar agreement and interest was frozen from what was going to be the default date on the initial loan ... took a few emails to get it sorted but now pleased with the outcome -- and the loan should be paid off in 3 months. Good Luck!
  19. Almost there, just need them to accept my offer and I should be off the payday loan roundabout in 3 months !
  20. Just had an email from Errol Damelin !!! WooHoo !! Finally receive an acknowledgment after sending loads of emails and cc the main man !! Maybe I will now get somewhere with my repayment offer.
  21. Hi Grizza Any idea how I should deal with Wonga and PTP .. both set to default this month and I want to negotiate repayment plan over approx 3 months. There is no way I am going to reloan....I have already sorted my Wages out going to a new account and my old debit card cancelled ! Thanks
  22. The customer services and collections department keep ignoring my emails in respect to repayment offers - sent 6 emails and still awaiting a response
  23. No Problem, I have emailed them again today re repayment plan but dont expect them to respond until my loan goes into default on 8th January 2010...and when it does I will contest any charges they apply as they have not responded to all the emails I have sent. This video makes some interesting points about capping interest at 60 days from the Wonga founder - Errol Damelin, Wonga | Smarta They have no right to contact your employer and cannot get an attachment of earnings until it has gone to court and where you have not kept up with agreed repayments, so I wouldnt really worry about that....if they start ringing you a lot send the telephone harrassment letter and tell them you want everything in writing. At the end of the day only pay them what you can realisticly afford and dont reloan as you will never get out of the cycle. Will keep you updated with Wonga.
  24. Will be very surprised if it goes to court. Probably be sent to a DCA who will accept and reasonable repayment plan. Just stick to what you can afford and dont rollover any of the loans. I am in a similar position with Wonga, QQ and PTP .. all to default this month - can't wait for the negotiations to start !
  25. Thanks. Will be interesting to see how Wonga react ! I've actually given them 2 options: 1. either I include them in my DMP with the CCCS or 2. setup a repayment plan outside the CCCS DMP that would be to their benefit as they would receive more. If they dont get back to me next week then they will get option 1 ! At the end of the day I am willing to pay the debt and want to get rid of the payday loans asap and before my other unsecured debt where negotiated payments have already been agreed.
