Hope I have posted this in the right place. I have just seperated from my controlling husband and want to change my name back to my maiden name where do go I have searched online and it is so confusing prices are ranging from £4.99 to £35 I dont want to be conned how do I know if its official? Please help.

The estate agents are all saying you have to have these Home Information Packs and they want £300 up front before they put a board up on your property thats a lot of money to find as I have just seperated from husband I am on benefits and if I dont sell quick Kensington will take my property. HELP.

I remortgaged (Kensington) through a company called Lerwick and they told me if I dont take the PPI we probably would not get the mortgage so we paid over £2000 down for it, when my husband who was self employed became sick and could not work we were not protected as there was all kinds of clauses. I have just moved so I dont have the paperwork to hand it is packed away. I wanted to know if it is worth trying to claim? Can anyone advise please.
