  1. Hey guys Was reading through some posts and saw that there appears to be a wealth of useful info on here and was hoping someone could help me. Last week I got an email from Credit Resource Solutions stating that I owe amazon £128.99 from Oct 2007 and that they were collecting the debt on behalf of them. I have received a letter this morning stating the same thing. Its a bit of a long story but here goes: In Oct 2007 I sold a mobile phone on amazon marketplace. The buyer turned out to be a pain - complaining of poor delivery service 2 days after he ordered (it was being sent to Ireland using courier). Anyway - he has the phone for 3 weeks then decided to file an A-Z guarantee claim with amazon saying it is faulty when arrived (it was mint when sent). I disputed the claim with amazon saying that if it was faulty when sent he would have complained straight away. Got an email back from them saying he is entitled to a refund as under their t+c I am not allowed to sell something that differs from the amazon page (e.g. another model etc). At thi spoint I phoned amazon as my listing was for the exact same item (same colour and everything) and so did not differ. The person on the phone agreed, said they would freeze the refund and investigate and come back to me. I heard nothing more from amazon. I stopped using my amazon account (I was annoyed with them - not that they would care lol), however this refund never appeared on my marketplace balance as owing, it appears under the resolved section and my account states there are no A-Z guarantee claims requiring action. Fast forward 2 years and I get this email stating that I owe this money to amazon. I have spoken to them on the phone. The seller support department guy said that he had had a few such calls over the last week and like me he has thought the emails from the DCA to be a spam but it appears that some department in amazon has referred the debt on to them. He says its wrong that amazon have not contacted me about this in the past two years and if I fax him all the documents I have relating to this he will try and sort it out. Well as its 2 years old - I don't have all the emails (I'm on a different computer now) and it was resolved mostly on the phone. Anyway have faxed a covering letter and the documents I have (including print outs of amazon account showing no balance etc). Basically I would like some advice. Can amazon really come after this debt after 2 years - when they never actually confirmed with me that I owe the money? Should I write to the DCA to say I'm disputing the debt? Will they turn up at my house? I'm quite worried about this and am stressing it may go to court or something. Sorry for the long post - but any help would be greatly appreciated.
