  1. Hi, We had taken a residential accommodation , contract for which lapsed in july 2008 . WE had paid council tax for the term through our company account in UK. Company have one office in London , which is not occupied and just used as address for marketing purpose thus donot have any employee from start. While completing our formalities for leaving we got some letters from recovery company , which states we had some council tax left and threatened beliff action , if not contacted. Our problems is no one visited london after july 2009 thus not aware of any communication send by recovery companies. as per letter the council tax due was some 220 pounds but now with penalties etc has increased to 700 pounds . We are not sure whom to contact , as directors of company are not UK citizens and donot visit UK even . What is the best way of dealing this situation , as if there are some legitimate dues we are intersted to pay that . Lookforward to any help on this . Sandy
