I developed an interest in retro-computers and got way out of my depth. I have two accounts with Natwest; the first has been totally maxed out to the tune of £600; the second is normally in and out of credit, but my latest statement for this account has informed me that I am liable for a Maintenance Charge of £28 (Is this charge legal?) I've started shopping for a parachute account. Halifax is the one that appeals to me; I'm led to understand they let you have a debit card while also allowing you to have no overdraft facility, which is what I'm looking for. On the whole, I'm sad that it's come to this. I opened my first Natwest account when I was 16 and spent many happy years with them.
