  1. Hello again. Update to Nat West problem. The 40 day period from requesting documents pertaining to myself and the account in question (see original posting for details), is up and I've heard nothing from them. ( I know they received the letter as the cheque enclosed has been paid). I have written a letter telling them so and will be taking the matter further, consulting with CAB. What can I expect now? I can't afford to take them to court, but they have broken the law. Any advice would be appreciated as I'm unsure when I can get to see the CAB and anything I can do before seeing the CAB would help speed things up. Hope this all makes sense Cheers again for any help.
  2. Thanks again to everyone who helped me when I first posted on this board (see 26th July for original posting). I took your advice and sent my £10 cheque with a request for all documents pertaining to my account to be sent to me within the 40 day time limit. It seems they cashed the cheque as part of my monthly payment and as yet... the 40 days will be up 14th September... I have received nothing from them, only a letter saying I'm £10 behind in my monthly payment. I've been back in touch with the CAB who are acting on my behalf but have yet to hear back from them. Any suggestions as to what I can do next? Once again, all help gratefully received.
  3. Thank you so much guys. You've all been really helpful and supportive I'll keep you posted. Let's get them greedy beggers taking notice
  4. Thanks again for your help. I don't feel so alone now
  5. Thanks for the info', much appreciated. I'll look into it and get onto the CAB. This situation's gone on for far too long, with me being in the dark for most of it. I've had enough!
  6. Hi, I do have some letters from CMS Telford going back to 2002. Since then it's moved to Unidebt Collection in Telford, now it's moved again to Morecroft in Stockport Cheers.
  7. Hi all, I've only just found this forum, I wish I'd found it earlier! I'm looking for some advice. In the mid 90's I had an overdraft with Natwest for £2000 that somehow got converted into a personal loan, though I don't remember this happening. I have always paid the monthly payment required but about 18 months ago I was shocked to discover that interest had been accruing and the debt is now over £12000. Now Natwest are demanding full payment or else they'll take me to court! I don't know what to do now, I've got no problem with paying back what I owe but the interest is ridiculous and unfair. This whole situation has made me ill. I've contacted the CAB who've tried to be helpful but don't seem to know what I can do about it. Does anyone here have some advice? Cheers little cat
