  1. Can you tell how to add it to the Welcome Forum please?
  2. Can someone please advise my husband and I regarding a situation we find ourselves in. We do not poor credit history which I wont go into, but we have been with Welcome for six or seven years. We are on our fourth car with them and unfortunately find ourselves in a position where we can no longer afford to pay for the car. When we visited the Welcome Showroom, picked the car, traded in our third car which was still on finance to Welcome, we then sat down and filled in the mass of paperwork which I think alot of people will know what I am referring to. We are positive that the agreement we signed was an HP agreement as I saw a copy of the same document in someone else thread. We now are struggling financially due to my ill health and have missed a payment here and there but aleays notified our account manager. We coulf not make the direct debit due on 1st July 09 so cancelled it and notified Welcome in writing. Our account manager rang to say he had received our letter and asked if we could make a token payment and I said we could not. Two days later I received a call at home from someone else from Welcome who said because we could not make a payment the car was going to be taken away. I said OK if that's how you want it, come and take it. He said the car would be collected on Friday 10th July. The car was not taken, and after many phone calls it has now transpired that as Welcome reduced the monthly payments that the loan had to be re-written as a personal loan. To make matters worse, the young lady who was given the job of getting a new agreeement signed told the account manager that she had visited us in our home and had witnessed our signatures. This is not the case, we never signed any new documents and do not have a copy of this so-called re-written agreement to argue the toss. It would have been easier for us if they had collected the car but according to Welcome we signed this new agreement which is a personal loan, the car will not be "uplifted" we can do what we want with the cae but either way we owe Welcome money. We feel that we were definitely mis-sold the finance on this car and we never told at any time that we were buying a car by way of a personal loan. Where do we stand legally?
