  1. My employer was placed in provisional liquidation approx 7 weeks ago. All employees had their employment terminated the same day. The liquidators (the big one in UK), forced the sale of all assets by auction and effectively closed the compnay the same day. The company was not insolvent at the time and had had cash flow problems due to a client being placed into administration some 7 months earlier thus defaulting on a large sum of money but was still trading although unable to pay of 1 single creditor in time. 7 weeks on and the company is still in provisional liquidation and the liquidators are still awaiting the court order and appointment as interim liquidators. Until this happens they wont process the RP1 claim forms. Is this right?. How long should you have to wait for this to happen. I am struggling to find other work and the money due would certainly help. Any advice please!!!. ps at the time I was already due 3 weeks wages so have had no money for 10 weeks.
