  1. Thanks. I think the same to be honest. Have spoken with the finance company and they've advised me to write in (via email) with details and they will take up on my behalf. Also advise me to put a rejection in the email
  2. Hi - newbie here after a bit of advice. To cut a long story short, I bought a used BMW last week from a BMW AUC dealer. Picked it up on Friday. The car is just over 3 years old, one previous owner, but is supplied with 12 months BMW warranty. Now I drained the battery on Monday (my fault) and called out the BMW assist team. They came, sorted the battery problem, and I was happy. However, during the time he was here, he said 'how long have you had the car'. I stated since friday and he said 'mmm somethings not right' He then went on to say that there was evidence the car had been under water or had a lot of water in the boot as there was bad corrosion on some of the wiring connectors and a lot of the screws under the panels were rusted. To make matters worse, he then told me there had been a fire in the car in the past, and showed me the power adapter in the boot where the fire had started (you could see the scorch marks on the adapter then on the wires at the back). The interior panel underneath the side-panel showed signs of fire damage. This has horrified me. He did state that the water could be from a fire extinguisher and that it should be easy to sort out. However, this has severlely tainted my view. I immediately called the dealer and they said they'd get back to me. They called back within 10 mins (at 3:15 yesterday) and asked to speak to the technician. I've heard nothing back since. I spoke with Consumer Direct yesterday and they did advise that I can reject the car, as the corrosion is something that shouldn't happen in a 3yr old car and advised on the procedure to follow and quoted the supply of goods act 1973 as the car has been purchased on finance. However, does anyone else have any advice? I know most people would reject this car, but I'm just after advice on it. My heads all over the place at the moment to be honest.
