Having been turned down for credit twice this week, I decided to join CreditExpert and check out my Experian credit file. I did have financial problems 7-8 years ago but have managed to keep on top of things. I was surprised to see I have a good credit rating falling in the category of being "very creditworthy" and there was no sign of CCJ's etc. I delved in deeper and purchased my Experian report only to see that I am not registered on the electoral register. What the @*$>?. I am registered and have been registered on the electoral register for 5 years at my present address and in fact I just had a voting card for the European elections last month. I have written to my council to see what is going on and to Experian but to think I have been refused credit on what looks like not being on the electoral register is a wind up. Has anyone else experienced anything similar?
