  1. Thanks Lee, as requested, I have sent an email with my contact details.
  2. From the information I have read I am assuming so. I have not checked my credit rating yet. Do you think it might not be?
  3. Confirmation code = [#11513874] Thanks,
  4. Many thanks, I have sent the link to the email address. I naively paid because I didn't want it ending up on a credit file (I thought at the time it couldn't go on file without notice, I have since learned that it has already, as its not covered by credit legislation)
  5. Hi, I need some advice with a rather surreal problem I am having with Vodafone. In 2011, I started receiving direct debits from my account from Vodafone. I contacted Vodafone but they could not find any details of an current account from my details. They suggested that I contact my bank, which I did, and they said there was nothing suspicious with the payments, referring me only back to Vodafone. I cancelled the Direct debit. I have had nothing from Vodafone, no phone or SIM, no letter or email correspondence. I have never requested an account from Vodafone and certainly never supplied my details to them in relation to opening an account of this type around that time. I had been a previous customer of Vodafone. Some time later, I received a letter from a debt collection agency. (still nothing prior to this from Vodafone themselves). I spoke to Vodafone and explained that I did not own this account. At this point they could find me (DCA had provided me with the relevant account number). They said that they would inform their fraud department and cancel the account. In the meantime I paid the amount requested in order to prevent anything getting onto my credit file. I heard nothing back from them. I next received another letter from a DCA. I spoke to Vodafone and confirmed the account had not been closed, and they were looking for a payment in relation to further missed payments on my account. As previously, they again engaged thier fraud department and said they would cancel the account. This week I have received a letter from Vodafone (the first ever correspondence I have had with them excluding my phone calls to them). I have again paid the sum demanded. This time, after I again pressed to have the account terminated, they explained that there would be a further payment becoming due as the account has a 1 month termination period. I am a little more confident this time that it has been terminated, but I will still owe them money after this period. It is clear from my last conversation with them that the previous agents were just lying to me to get me of the phone. They said there was nothing further they could do regarding the opening of the account because they had the details for the direct debit, so they said it must have been me that opened it. They also implied that because I paid the money demanded from the DCA that I had accepted it was an account I opened. I have been quite patient with these people but this is really now beginning to infuriate me. My main concern is that I have now discovered that these defaults might be recorded on my credit file, even though I paid them as soon as they were demanded. This is not my first problem with Vodafone. Previously they had sent me a letter saying I owed them money relating to an account which I had closed some years ago. I don't know what that related to but paid it anyway. (I have no reason to believe this is connected in anyway to the current issue) Can anyone offer any advice. I have spent hours now on the phone to Vodafone and have exhausted that route. I can not afford any more personal time on this, but I am prepared to engage a solicitor at whatever cost if that would be effective? Thanks for reading.
  6. Hi, I have recieved a PCN from Camden for a breach of a bus lane order. I am on a motorcycle but they have not provided a photo of my number plate as the photo is of the front of the bike. There is a link in the letter for thier website which says camera evidence is available but the link doesnt work (as has been the case with other people i gather from reading this site). It may be that there are further photos of the rear of the bike? I have to say it is me in the pictures supplied. But I do disagree with the way bus lanes are now controlled given some are usable my motorcycles and some arent, not that this is a valid legal challenge) Thanks Mike
