  1. Thanks for advice:wink: I think I will do the same and incorporate it with my reclaim. It is no doubt a tactic used by the banks to get you to agree another loan without PPI but with a higher interest rate. I will have a good read through the other threads. Thanks again for your help!
  2. Hi dx, Thanks for the quick reply. I am going to try and reclaim my PPI but I was wanting them to cancel it now before I start processing everything.
  3. Hi, Hope someone can help?? I am in the process of cancelling my PPI with Lloyds as it states I can do so in their T&C. I have wrote to Lloyds 4 x times now and they originally came back to me and said I have to call them or pop into my nearest branch to do so. I replied stating that I only want to communicate in writing. They came back saying the same thing. So after another letter from me stating the same thing I had a reply saying I had to call them to arrange another Loan without PPI? I am right in thinking this is another Lloyds [problem]? I wrote back explaining that I DO NOT want another loan agreement with them, I simple want them to cancel my PPI. I received another letter back on Friday telling me to call them or go to my nearest branch:-x Do I have to call them or see them in person to do this? They always tell you to cancel things in writing so what is the difference with this? Any help / advice would be great. Thanks
  4. Hi Silverfox, Sorry for the late reply. I have been dealing with some personal problems. No further news, VF will not remove the Default. They say they didn't get my letter and I'm saying I didn't get their letters so who is in the wrong?
  5. As far as I am aware, Vodafone defaulted my credit file on 07/04/2008 after I didnt pay my line rental at the end of 2007. I cancelled my contract in the correct way but VF have no record of this so I was not aware that my contract was still on going as I did not see any letter's from VF for one reason or another. I find it very harsh that they can slap you with a default after my contract had ended. I never missed a payment with VF and was a good customer so why wont they give me the benefit of the doubt in this case? This is causing havoc with my life as it is with plenty of other people on here.
  6. UPDATE. After some weeks of being in contact with Lee ( thanks Lee for your help ) it turns out that I completed my 20 month contract with VF and I wrote to VF one month before the end of the contract to cancel. According to VF they dont have any record of this. Now that I'm a bit older and wiser I now know I should have sent it by recorded delivery! So the default was registered after I stopped paying them when to my knowledge, the contract had ended. VF will not remove the default, because they say the sent out letter's to me. But I also have no record of ever receiving them. I might as well of filed for bankruptcy, this default is having the same effect on my life! I cant get a house, a car, a loan, a credit card. My bank wont even give me a £50 OD.
  7. Thanks for the help and info 2grumpy. I had given up all hope but Lee emailed me today so will update when i hear back
  8. Update. I finally received a receipt from Lowell and Lee is looking into it.
  9. No worries Locutus. I am grateful for the help I have already received from you all.
  10. I agree. My problem was that I didnt know I owed VF money, as far as I was concerned my contract had ended and I had cancelled it in the correct way.
  11. Thanks for the reply Lee, I really appreciate it. Look forward to hearing from you.
  12. Thanks RS and Silverfox. You have been a great help which I really appreciate!! I will contact VF today and let you know how I get on.
  13. Hi RS, No, I have received nothing. I only found out about this last year when applying for a credit card
