  1. Thanks for all of the advice. Following up on the advice given I seem to be in the following status- I don't have pictures of the signs at LFE and it is inconvenient for me to make a special journey to do this. I think especially as I need to see how visible these signs are in darkness. From Blaby council site there is no planning permission approved for signage or cameras and this will be required where cameras are on poles or signs exceed a certain size. I think there is an avenue of complaint here. Even where complainants fight the charge on the basis of there being no pla

  3. Hi, Appreciate any advice with the following please. Driving from Kent to Tyneside stopped at Leicester Forest East at 6pm had a coffee fell asleep and left at 9pm. It was dark so no recollection of any signage being displayed. I have now received the first letter asking for £100 but discounted to £60 if I pay within 14 days. I feel miffed as it was late and I was as tired and the car park was empty. What is the best couse of action? I fear that making an appeal to PE will just be rejected or should I just ignore the enevitable PE threatening letters which will fol
  4. Dekry, Yesterday wrote to cancel course. Took the letter to post office for recorded delivery, they scanned the address. Told me that Train 4 Trade Skills did not match the address. I enquired as to what was being suggested. The PO clerk said "SKILLSTRAIN" does that sound right!! At that point I took a big gulp said yes and gleefully sent the letter on its way. Thanks
  5. Thanks for your reply Scousegeezer. Part of my problem is my partner who is now on anti depressants due to my working away and she has all the family stuff to do on her own. Yes maybe I should bring this to the fore.
  6. Question I need help on. 3 months ago I handed my notice to employer. My notice period is 6 months. I have continued to work my notice. Job does not suit me as it is UK wide and I cannot do this due to family so desperatley need a change. I have now received an offer to start a new job on 1st November close to my home so it is ideal. However this means me leaving 4 months into my 6 months notice. Advice needed Can I walk away?? What is my best tactic?? I think my present company will not let me go easily?? Any help welcomed
  7. After reading all of this I am worried. 8 days ago I signed up with Train4TradeSkills a Scheidegger company with an address also in Collingdon Street in Luton. Anybody know if they are the same company?? I am in my 21 day cancellation period and will shortly be paying £135 for 42 months. Any advice greatly received
  8. Have been in a job since January09. This had no probation period and a 6 month notice period from both me and the company. I wish to leave as I am away from home for days and also weekends occasionally. So it does not suit family life for me. So my plan is to hand in my notice and leave in 6 months time. What I want to ensure is that the company are duty bound to pay me for the next 6 months. On balance I seem to think they are but what niggles me is that I have only been there 5 months? Do I have less rights due to my length of employment? Views welcomed
