  1. Thanks guys, still have butterflies in my stomach though. So I guess the letter may have not "actually" arrived anyway After all, they only use standard mail not registered. I have since been back to the bit of land, a service area at the back of a shopping centre, and it does say Private Property across the entrance with no option to pay, obviously, and lots of big yellow signs. I spoke with the Security Guard in his little box to understand how it worked and he said that an A S Securi-T man came once his shift had finished and he sits at the back of the carpark and takes photos of the cars that come in, he never approached the car (the time stated on our ticket was just 5 minutes - that has to be disproportionate!) Funny thing was this Security Guard REALLY thought they were a reputable London company and was offended when I called them cowboys, but didn't really know much about them as he was a different company! One more question... So what if they DO have a photo of the driver?
  2. I was told no so long ago by a police officer that an old bylaw was that a house owner has a legal right to get their car off their own property, therefore you cannot block a driveway with a car in it, but you can however park over a driveway IF there is no car in it/or garaged there because a house owner does not have automatic right of access onto their drive. This is just what I was told so I don't have any legislation to back it up.
  3. Hi, I have just joined and would like some advice on this PCN letter issued on 1st June for an aledged offence back in March, 3 months prior. Looking at the ticket issued, they are stating the vehicle was in breach of point 1.2, but on the back of the ticket there is no 1.2 listed??? We cannot remember who was driving the car 3 months ago . I have not corresponded with this company A S Securi-T Ltd at all so far and their 14 days to pay the cheaper amount is almost up. Best advice please as I'm currently composing a letter, are they particularly agressive? Is it best to go down the "wasn't driving" if we can't remember who was, or the "fine is disproportionate" route? I have attached copies of the documents, I hope you can see them as they seemed a bit small when I tried to reopen them. Thanks.
