  1. Hi, Thanks for your reply. This was with Experian. They state that an 8 is applied if "You failed to keep to your credit agreement and have not responded satisfactorily to requests to bring your payments up to date, so the credit agreement has ended." Due to the fact that: 1) The default was applied after I had entered into an agreed repayment plan with them 2) It was applied 4 months into the repayment plan (all payments made on time) 3) I have never received a default notice, do I not have a case in fighting them to have it removed? Experian states that the defa
  2. Hi, I would be really grateful if someone could advise on an aspect of the process of a bank (RBS- Mint) applying a default to my credit file please. I was made redundant in March 2009 and did not gain employment again until August 2009. I missed my monthly payments on my unsecured loan between May and August, when I entered into an agreement to repay again (including a little extra to pay off the arrears). I was, however, in constant contact with them throughout the entire time. I had never, in my life, made even a late payment to anyone before this time! I ran my credit report

  4. Hi all, I have just checked my credit report and I have had a default applied to each of my 2 personal loans (Northern Rock and Mint). What happened is that I was made redundant in March 2009 and I was unable to make my usual monthly payments to them from April onwards. I kept in constant contact with them to update them of my status and they were really understanding. I was permitted to make lower repayments to them. In August, I gained employment again and I informed them immediately that I would be making my usual payments and extra payments to clear my arrears. Northern Roc
  5. Hi Scott, thanks for your help. I'm not quite sure how the forum works at the moment!
  6. Hello, I was wondering if anyone could offer some advice please. I recently requested my business account bank charges back from Lloyds TSB. I am suffering severe financial hardship and I made this clear to them at the time. I received a reply saying that I am unable to reclaim my charges as they relate to a business account and I am not therefore a 'consumer'. Is this actually correct? I have heard that there is another way to go about reclaiming business account charges, but I am not sure of the details. I would appreciate any advice that anyone has for me regarding
  7. Hello, I was looking for some advice, if anyone could help please. I requested a refund of my bank charges on 10th August from Lloyds TSB. I am suffering somewhat severe financial hardship at the moment and I made them aware of this when I requested it. I received a reply on 24th August, telling me that they are sorry that I am unhappy, but that they are not paying out any bank charges until the test case is over. They have also stated that if I were to attempt to reclaim my charges through the court, that they will be requesting that the courts withhold any further cases regard
  8. Thanks. I'll certainly give this a go. I keep being referred to my business manager and she keeps turning me away. I'm running around in circles!
  9. Thanks. How do you think I should go about it? My business manager says it isn't possible.
  10. Hello, I was wondering if anyone could help please? I wasn't sure where to post this. I was given several cheques from one of my creditors and I paid them into my Barclays bank account. I am in the process of serving some legal action on his company and my solicitor has requested that I get copies of these cheques to help my case (long story!) I was wondering if Barclays do take microfiche or microfilm copies of all cheques, as I have come across some evidence on the internet that indicates that they do. However, my local business manager says it is not possible. I persona
  11. That's great. Thank you for your advice. It is much appreciated.
  12. Thanks for replying. I will certainly try writing to them and ask them to remove it. Did you have any thoughts about whether I would be within my rights to try and claim back the £1000 I already paid them?
  13. Hello, I was wondering if anyone could offer some advice please. I had a debt with Citicard a couple of years ago. I then received a letter from Hillesden Securities/DLC, saying that the debt had been transferred to them and they told me the repayments I was going to have to make. I paid them a total of about £1000. I discovered then that I could contest the debt and so, I wrote to them and asked them for the CCA. I received a letter back saying that they couldn't provide a copy so they could not enforce the agreement, and that they were not going to pursue the rest of the bala
