  1. Also when if i do go for this new position, can my employer refuse to pay if i hand in my months notice?
  2. Hi, I wonder if anyone can help! i really need some advice on my employment contract. I've been head hunted by another company to work for them within the same industry as my current employer. However, i have a restrictive covenant in my current employment contract stating that i cannot work within the same industry 12 months after leaving the company or within 100 miles from his office. I've worked within this industry basically my whole career and therefore it would mean i could not practise this even from my own home. This is my trade and how i would make a living, so i wanted to find out if and what ways there were around this? I've not accepted the position nor spoken to my employer about this role, however i know he would try to take me to court so i want to make sure i'm covered. Any help much appreciated! Many thanks in advance
  3. No we looked, she didn't point out any damage out anyway she looked at our car first.
  4. I didn't see any damage so hopefully after i've filled out the forms that will be the end of it.
  5. I feel a lot better, thank you all so much. Very much appreciated!! Fingers crossed!
  6. Thanks for your reply. I made sure everyone was ok, didnt see any damage or anything so i'm hoping nothing will come of it but now i'm worried she is going to claim there is damage or something you know.
  7. Hi, sorry i didn't explain myself properly. Yes, you are right about her veering into me. She was in a big Jag about it was the rear left passenger side that scrapped our car.
  8. Hi Matts Dad, thanks for your help. I had my mother in law in the car with me, however we checked our car - there was no damage the ladies car had no damage that we could see so we said look there is no damage and the lady was still saying i didn't see you. No one was injured and there was no damage but it will be her word against ours. I don't think my mother in law could be a witness because she wouldn't be independant would she? If i hadn't stopped to speak to the lady i wouldn't know she was American, about the same height as me with what looked like a wax jacket on. Worst case scenario am i going to get done for this and loose my license or something? i mean you always hear about the innocent party being the worst off! Thanks again
  9. Hi, i'm new to this forum but was wondering if anyone can offer me any advise. On the 21st May at 08.45am i was about to turn left at a roundabout, there was a lady in a big jaguar on the right hand side, as i was turning left she turned right, i beeped my horn because she was so close to our car then she scrapped the side of my mother in law's car that i was driving. So we stopped in a carpark just past the roundabout and checked the car which was fine, the women said she didn't see us etc etc. So i said fair enough, but u should've checked your wing mirror before turning. Because our car was fine, i didn't give her my details - which now i realise i should've have done however i was running late for work. I've had a letter from the police today because this lady has accused me of driving without due care and attention, failing to stop after the incident and failing to report it to the police so i now have to fill out all these forms to state what happened and give them my case. Can anyone offer any words of advise because i'm worried about something that wasn't my fault. I know i should've given her my details but because there was no damage i didn't see being necessary. Help!
