  1. Hi, I was reading the forums searching for an answer to a problem I'm having and most peoples problems are quite specific that I didn't know how to apply it to my situation. I had a contract with 3G which was going along nicely, around 9 months into that contract I was called out of the blue from my 'phone supplier' offering me a free upgrade to my handset. Thinking it was a little strange and being ever so slightly naive I agreed and two weeks later, the handset arrived. Strangely, it had a different number and was turned out to be a brand new contract. So I ended up with 2 contracts in the same name with 3G. Due to some confusion regarding what had happened and presuming my old handset & number were now defunct. I switched over to the new one. Hearing nothing else from 3, I thought nothing of it. Until accessing my credit file and finding a Default for the amount of £135 which turned out to be line rental for the previous number & handset! After calling them to promptly pay the amount in full, the default now shows as 'satisfied'. I have been in a mess before and previous satisfied defaults are finally being removed after 6 years this June/July. I don't want this one to ruin my chances at a fresh start. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
