  1. I bought a Sleepeezee mattress in August from MattressLand/Vitastyle in August 2008 and delivery was mid September. Since it was a "no turn" mattress and very heavy, we were not able to inspect it. In November, we turned it around head to toe and saw the label which said "regular", meaning, medium. We had ordered a medium/ firm. We decided not to do anything about this. 4 weeks ago, when bedmaking, we noticed mouldy stains at the foot of the mattress. After much effort, we managed to tilt the mattress up and saw a truly horrible sight. It was damp, stained with blood like dots, all over the back and there was a slight smell. The top of the mattress was as new, so it did not come from there. We contacted MattressLand and they only came back today with the news that Sleepeezee says their mattress is up to standard so no help from either of these companies. We paid by credit card and are dealing through them also. Is there anything else we can do? We will now have to wait 2 weeks for Visa to get back to us and in the meantime, we are forced to sleep on this damp bed because we cannot possibly move it and have no place to store it. Can anyone tell me what happens in cases where the goods you pay good money for are not up to standard? I am confident that the room where the mattress is situated is not damp. I ran my damp meter all around the room and the only places it picked up damp was on the mattress itself. Thanks in advance.
