  1. Can anyone give me some kind of address please who i send the letter to regarding Calder ? Thanks In Advance
  2. Just one more thing DG would you know the correspondance address for Calder
  3. My wife and i have now got problems with Calder. Back in January my wife noticed two fraud payments on her credit card with Littlewoods. My wife immediately put in a stop of card and a fraud claim be issued against the account. After numerous letters and 3 phone calls and 5 months we recieved the claim form from Barclaycard. We sent the claim form back, and also we want to claim for all the charges that had incurred on the account. Now the reason for this is that my wife's card was in credit, always paid via DD and never missed a payment, she stopped the DD after waiting more than 2 months for the claim form. By then Barclaycard had passed it over to Mercers, and now calders. we sent the claims form back to Barclaycard, but we are still getting the phone calls telling my wife she has to settle. Now the issue here is that 1). 2 fraud transactions made on card - not card holder. 2). Requested claim form which Littlewoods. waited 5 months for form 3). Charges and late fees were issued on the card. this should not of been issued due to the card holders account in credit before the fraud transactions had taken the card over it's limit. 4). The card is now £194 over it's limit due to these charges and fraud payments on the account. We sent claim form off via Special Delivery and have a reciept and some one has signed for it at Barclaycard. What is our next step
  4. They say you have provisionally been excepted and Ralph Marlon are Wentworth as is Parkside Financial Services.. Contact the bank mate and Wentworth BY MAIL not phone as they will keep you hanging on the line for 45 minutes..power of writing seems to make them wake up
  5. I was not 100% sure where to put this..i need some advice My wife bought Travel insurance from Boots at Manchester Airport on the 10th July 2009,it was cover for 17 days. When she arrived in Amsterdam from Manchester her connected flight to Chengdu China was canceled due to plane failure and unsafe to fly. She was put up in a hotel by the airport and given a phone card (Did Not Work) and her next available flight was 3pm on saturday afternoon. She would of originally flew into China at 10am on saturday morning, but arrived at 7am sunday morning. I have copied and pasted from what the Policy covers in lost of time whilst traveling. Cancelling or cutting short your trip We Will Pay (Boots) Up to the sum shown in the benefit tables on pages 4 - 6 for travel, accommodation expenses and pre-paid excursions that you have paid for or have agreed to pay for under a contract and which you cannot get back if it is necessary and unavoidable for you to cancel or cut short your trip This Includes A proportion of the costs of cutting short your trip, calculated on a pro-rata basis, for each complete day from your arrival back in the UK or to your home for trips made in the UK on a multi trip policy Is my wife covered to put in a claim for a lost of time whilst traveling ?
  6. Update on this I took the advice and wrote to them regarding the two companies were based in the same area also stated the terms and conditions of the refund status from their terms. i gave them 14 days to refund and not the 4 weeks that advised. 25th June 09 Letter arrived this morning from Wentworth with a cheque for £105, not the £110 that had been taken from my account, they have charged me £5 admin fee to produce the cheque, (Cheeky buggers) but the end of it is that at least i have regained most of the money. Many thanks guys on here, very helpful and these places you learn a lot Darren MERLIN-ATLANTIC The bank will have to take up a fraud case that you have to submit which can be done via mail online banking, takes about 2 weeks they are really quick to be honest. with Wentworth just mail them and get their terms and conditions which is on their site and quote it to them that you do not want to proceed and they will refund the money via cheque
  7. It states in their terms and conditions that if you do not go ahead with an application you have to write in to them via post, and it is taking 3-4 weeks for refunds, i am in dispute with them at present
  8. Update letter sent today from HSBC Thank you for your e-message received 1 June 2009. 10. Fella Many thanks for the advice, so appreciated, will contact bank now through internet banking and stop card. it is good to have forums of this nature..thanks again
  11. It came out on the 28th May, what is a charge back ?
  12. So send Wentworth the letter or Ralph Marlon, as i am not dealing with Ralph Marlon at present as i still have the Application form at home, its Wentworth i want the money from, so this suggestion of a letter should go to Wentworth
  13. The heading on my letter says PARKFIELD FINANCIAL SERVICES LTD In Association with Ralph Marlon Ltd (Personal Loans) Then the address i posted earlier Also states on the letter that they can be contacted between 12pm - 8pm which is also not true as i had to leave a message, but my main concern is the £110 debited from our account by Wentworth is this not fraud on the second transaction ?
  14. The letter i got from Parkfield have their address as follows Maple House Maple Estate Barnsley South Yorks S75 2BL
  15. The third party company are "Parkfield Financial Services" also known as Ralph Marlon Ltd. when u call Ralph Marlon's number they introduce them selves as Loan Help line
  16. My wife and i applied for a loan with this company as their site indicate on their main page that they can help.. We payed the brokers fee of £55.00 as asked and we thought we were dealing with Wentworth directly, but recieved a letter from a 3rd party indicating that they will be dealing with the loan and it was not the agreed amount of repayments as theirs was £20 more than Wentworth which we had agreed a term of repayment. Now checking our online bank we have realised that Wentworth have deducted 2 payments of £55.00 on the same day. It states in their terms and conditions "You are entitled to repayment of this fee. You the client can request this in the event that a credit agreement is not forthcoming as a result of our original introduction" We have decided not to persue the loan application due to this other transaction being taken from our account. after being put on hold for 64 minutes on the phone and it also states that they have their lines open until 10pm which is also not true we are having problems contacting them via the phone and have now contacted our Bank to refer this as fraud on our card..is this the correct procedure, help would be grateful as i will be back on the phone again in the morning
  17. The letter explaining the fraud on the account was done 2 months ago, and 2 months down the line we are still waiting for some kind of response from Littlewoods, hence Mercer now being involved on behalf of Littlewoods
  18. I am hoping someone can help here ? 5 months ago my wife noticed fraudalant payments on her Littlewoods credit card, She called Littlewoods to enquire about these payments that had been coming on her statement. They told her they would stop her card and send her a new one and investigate these transactions..a further month on and no claim form but charges for now she had gone over her limit which they established a charge for this, plus a late payment charge. My wife has payed via DD every month with out fail.but this particular month after no claim form she decided to stop the DD and contact Littlewoods again, she was told that they would send out another claim form. now 4 months on and nothing, but she did recieve a new card, but now she was getting late charges and missed payment charges.again she phoned and requested for the third time a claim form.another month now has gone by and no claim form. Now she has got a letter from Mercer Debt agency requesting payment not payed on the account, but as my wife tried to explain to Littlewoods that nearly £130 in transactions were not hers. My wife spoke to Mercer on Sunday the 26th April to discuss the amount in question that Littlewoods believe that she owes, she told them on several ocassions on the phone that she believes she is not liable for the out standing request that mercer are asking for becaue fraud had happened on her card and she has attempted over the last 4 months to get a claim from littlewoods to appeal against these payments. All they stated that she had to pay the out standing balance owed before they could even consider sending it back to Littlewoods. all the guy kept on saying is you have to pay you have to pay... What she wants to know is that are the phone calls that were made between herself and Littlewoods recorded and logged..as she has clearly stated that the transactions have not been under taken by herself and she has put in a fraud claim. "CAN U HELP PLEASE" as i do not want to start getting abrupt with them until i really know our ground of arguement is actually going to register ?
