  1. Hi, thanks for the replies. I am not actually sure how long its been going on for, as our bills are just paid by the accounts department, as i said it was only bought to light as we were leaving and had an issue with something. i pulled a couple of other bills and one of them we have been billed for was 241 hours on averge we use below 30 hours. Until i have gone back and found as many bills as possible i am not sure of the value of the claim.

  2. Hi,

Yes we do have evidence over the last four months.

It was only bought to light as we were changing suppliers as our bills were getting rather high,

and on checking the itemised bill to our tracker system we could see that the invoice was very out.

We can only go back four months as this is how long our call tracker system stores information.

We have contacted the supplier who advised us that under our terms and conditions we can not do anything about previous bills as in our terms and conditions it says we need to bring in to light witin 7 days.

He does not seem to be bothered and told us to take it legal.

I have a feeling that we are probably not the only customers this has happened to.

He has no explanation on why we have been overcharged for many months.

  3. Just a quick one.

Could any advise where we stand if a telecoms company has been repeatedly overcharging us for time spent on the phone

    invoiced for 156 hours

only been on the phone 26 hours

we have proof as we have a call tracker.

Checked previous 4 months bills and they are all incorrect.

The telecoms provider is not bothered said we should have checked bills before.

We have contacted the ombudsman and as we have more than 10 employees they can not do anything.

We have been advised to take it to the same claims court.

Just wondering what peoples views were.

  4. Good Morning. Just a little update. I have teletex complaints department dealing with this. They have admitted that i have been sold the wrong hotel, and they are going back to the supplier. Teletex supplier are saying because its a non-refundable room i can not be moved or get my money back and teletex are trying to sort it with them telling them its not my fault. I am right in saying that my contract is with teletex, and not with their supplier, that teletex miss sold the hotel, so it is up to them to sort it, and then sort whatever with their supplier. I have told them that i want an answer back by the end of play today, as it has been going on for over two weeks now.

  5. The Annabelle diamond & spa annexe, is given 5 stars on their site this is why I chose it. In their description it says 96 rooms over 7 floors and a further annex building. It does not say this annexe is only 4 star and you can not use the facilities in the main hotel. Also I was never given both options. I tried to resolve it saying I wanted to be in the diamond bit but have not Goya any where at the moment . To the person booking it comes across as your booking the 5 star hotel. :???:

  6. Could you please help.

I got a quote from teletex holidays for a hotel advertised on their site as The Annabella Diamond &spa annexe. This is a 5 star hotel with amazing reviews and pictures of the hotel. In the description of the hotel, it tells you about the hotel, how many rooms and also indicates there is a separate annexe, (but does not elaborate). The teletex operative was very pushy for me to book and I told him to call back after 5 as I was working and I would be in the car.

He called me back whilst I was driving, (I have hands free) and I decided to go ahead with the quote. He was on the phone ages pushing buttons and booking the holiday. I told him numerous times, I was driving and when he required payment I would pull over. He asked me to read the booking quote which I told him I could not AS I WAS IN THE CAR, I eventually got home and sat outside the house in the car finishing the booking, which was going on and on. He asked me to read the quote and I said I couldn’t as I was in the car, and he said he would read it out, as it had to be correct, When he got to the hotel part, he said the booking was with the Annabella park hotel but this was the same hotel, which he said numerous times.

We completed the booking and I went in the house. When I got into the house I checked on the web and it became apparent that on teletex site they have two hotels on their site. The Annabella Diamond and spa annexe 5 star and the Annabella Park Hotel 4 star., I straight away called customer services but could not get through. I got hold of them the following morning and again they said it was the same hotel but we were in the annexe which is called a different name and we could use the facilities except for the main bar.

I emailed and called and eventually spoke to an operative, who told me that although teletex are advertising these as different hotels, that infact they are the same hotel, with the annexe being called the Anabella park. He told me I had got what I was quoted for. I told him that I didn’t, when I asked for the quote I was looking at the pictures, of the Annabella Diamond Hotel &spa annexe and I was looking at the hotel description, facilities, pictures and reviews for this hotel a 5 star hotel. And now what I have actually got which was never said to me was an annexe of the Diamond with a different name and only 4 stars.

Surely this is miss-selling. I told him I wanted my money back and he said you have booked non-refundable rooms. If you look at the teletex site, the pictures of the diamond and the park are the same, but on other sites they are different. He also kept waffling about them being the suppliers picture and not theirs, but at the end of the day, I booked with teletex, who are selling the holiday, and teletex who took my money.

Could someone please clarify. Sorry its long.

I have attached the hotel from their site.anna.pdf

  7. Hi, sorry about the names,

i did a bit of copy and paste.

The company where she purchased the car is the Trade Centre and the finance company is Family Finance Limited.

I have since had a discussion with The Trade Centre,

Who said that the information that was passed on from the finance company was incorrect

in so far as, she can not pay double monthly payments,

but she could pay for example a payment of the loan in a sizable chunk for example £2k which will then reduce the term of the loan, which then reduces the interest paid.

He said this was governed by law and that finance companies had to abide by this law.

Not sure which law it is to have a look at.

When i have taken on loans before,

    for example Sainsburys,

these details are on the agreement so you can see them,

but i have checked the paperwork she was given and there is nothing in the paperwork about this.

  8. I wonder if i can have all you help again.

Within the last few days my cousin purchased a car from the above company.

She had the car on finance.

The above company chooses from a panel of lenders accessing the clients suitability.

She was accepted for finance at a whopping 36.9% apr.

She did know how high the Apr was which put an extra 4 + thousand pounds onto the loan.

The issue is that she was told by the salesman she could pay extra each month, which would reduce the amount of interest paid. She signed up.

She was also told by the salesman that the car came with two keys,

but when she collected it, it did not.

She called the finance company after she had signed the agreement to ask about the extra payments, and they told her, that even if she did make extra payments, it would not reduce the amount of interest on the finance.

She then called the car company and said she did not want the car if this was the car and wished to cancel, and they said they would have to buy the car back from her and would only give her market value.

I have looked through the contract for the finance and there is the usual about being able to cancel within the 14 days but the there is some extra in there about what she will have to pay on termination, which i do not understand.

Just to let you know she has had the car for 4 days

    . Thanks for your help

  10. Hi, she arranged the original appointment with the funeral directors, for herself and her brother, but on the day that they were going she was very ill and could not make that appointment, so the brother went alone. She told the brother to make sure all was in her name but when he returned they had put everything in his name and he did nor realise due to the grief. She immediately called them and they said that it was fine they would change the name. Yes she does want it her name as she is trying to claim a little of the costs back from the social fund, as her brother died unexpectedly without leaving any funeral provisions and she is not working. The bill is still outstanding, she has paid a little of it but only minimal. I thought that if it was a problem with their accounting system, they could credit the invoice and then re-issue in the correct name. No fraud is taking place.

  11. Hi, could someone please advise. My friends recently had to use the services of a funeral director and with all the added stress of the funeral and the situation, she did not notice at first that the funeral directors had put the invoice in her brothers name and not hers.she called them and they said that they would change it. She needed the invoice in her name as she is claiming some help from the social fund. To cut a long story short, the funeral directors told her after that that they could not change the name on the invoice because it is fraud. It was their error in the first place. I am sure that this is not true and they could raise a credit for the original invoice and re-invoice in the correct name. Can anyone shed any light. Many thanks

  12. A few years ago i rented my house to my brother who claims help with his rent.. Throughout the tenancy the council have messed about with the rent, and so i have been thoroughly messed about, but as it was my brother i did not force the issue. if it had been another landlord he would have been given his notice a long time ago. I complied with all the paperwork and issued him with a tenancy agreement and even though he did not pay me a deposit i put on the tenancy agreement that he had paid a deposit, because he thought the council may have been suspicious. The house is now going up for sale and we are trying to get my brother a council house. I have served him with a S21 notice which expires in about a week. My brother went to see the council who told him not to move out when the notice expires, they told him if he does move out he will not get any where to live. They sent me a letter telling me that i would have to apply for a court order to get the tenant out. This make me so angry, when they have messed about all through the tenancy. I have looked on line at the forms i need to fill in for an accelerated possession order but what i am concerned about is the deposit thing. It asks if a deposit has been taken and then asks for the Tds number, but as i said before i never took a deposit from him. Any ideas on how this will go and how to proceed.

    Many thanks
