Thank you for your comments, ive got all the information ready ! basically this overpayment relates to a 5 month period during 2008, the council has accpeted a late appeal from me due to health reasons. My partner informed the LA in April that she was receiving Maternity Alowance, the LA never update there records, we checked with the LA on a number of occasions that the amounts we where receiving are correct, the LA informed us everything was ok ! A similar occurance has occured 2 further times, relating to information that the LA has not processed accordingly, which has caused overpayments, very minimal, but it is principal. I will update the thread accordingly, when i have won, hopefully ! PS - You have stated that you are pursuing your LA for damages, have you got a thread about this, as i am interested in doing the same thing ? Good luck with your case.
  2. UPDATE - Received confirmation of Tribunal date, which has been brought forward to next week, because of some one else backing out !

  4. They have offered the sum of £100 in full and final settlement, the amount which was taken in error was credited back to my account a few weeks ago, considering i had not written to them i feel this was a reasonbale amount to receive. Many thanks for your help again.
  5. The saga continues, i have now received a third notification that i have been paid a further overpayment of Housing and Council Tax benefit ! This is despite notifying the Local Authority of a change in income, another appeal is now logged and progressing, update to follow shortly.

UPDATE - Just a quick note to let you know the matter has been resolved, via a number of telephone calls, i was intending to write a formal letter of complaint, however, the company has now provided me with a full written appology which sounds genuine, they have also offered a full and final settlement payment matching the amount the ATM took in error !   7. Sorry to hear about your problems, i had similar accomadation problems at the same resort, coupled with concerns at the way the security staff dealt with me ! I Have exausted the companies complaints procedure with no joy, the matter is now progressing through the small claims court, update to follow shortly.

  12. Sorry to hear about your problem. I went through similar problems quite a few years ago, things start amicable and then go sour, especialy when the father suggests changes. With regard to your contact order, was this an order that a judge proposed or was it an order that both you and your ex agreed to ? If its what the judge has ordered, i would seek immediate legal advice, as she is wrong to do this, its not that you have been violent towards her, i would not sign what she is stating, only sign if its what you want and after seeking advice. In any event, discuss what you would like in terms of contact with your solicitor, they will talk to your exs solicitor, if your ex continues to be unreasonable you will have to face the court arena, sounds daunting but dont worry, lots of people have been there, including me, so theres lots of advice waiting.

I would reccomend you continue to exaust the complaint avenues, if you do not get responses, keep chasing them up ! Im surprised your MP has stated he does not have any control over baliffs, i have recently contacted my MP with great help, if he continues to be unhelpfull, inform the leader of the party, im sure he or she will respond.   16. Sorry to hear about your problems. I am going through a similar experience, i would try and sort it out with the LA, if that fails then start the appeal process. If you intend to start the appeal process make sure the recovery of overpayments are put on hold until the appeal process has finished, the LA know that this is good practice but are reluctant to do this until asked.   18. Thats good to hear. I would still inform the Chief Executive of your council, the problems you have experinced with Philips, also inform the OFT.
  19. Sorry to hear about your problems. Continue to notify Facebook of your concerns, mention that you have informed the police and also inform the police again of this harrasment, it will help if you can keep a log of messages etc to assist them. If the police are still unwilling to assist i would reccomend you contact a solicitor to assit in this matter, the police can get info etc but is very time consuming and they tend to put people off.
