  1. Hi all

not been on for the forum for a while, ill health, work and now I have a grandson.

FSF do not destroy your details, the only things they destroy are the debt collector letters

that is when they tell you to send them in which is not very often.

They cannot destroy your information and when they tell you they have they are lying.

They have paper files as well as the details which they have on their pc's.

They are also well known for treating their staff the same way they treat their clients.

If they are going it can't be anything but good for all.

My friends are still in debt thanks to FSF up I managed to get the creditors to agree to payments from them.

Joining FSF was the worst thing they ever did.

I do hope that all goes well for all concerned who are trying to get money back from them.

  2. Hi PCB

My friends have cancelled with FSF. We've gone direct to the creditors they still have debts with and have agreed payments with them with a guarantee from the creditors in writing that they will not add any charges or interest as long as they keep up with the agreed payments so my friends are much happier now. FSF are dragging their heels in sorting the cancellation out but thats no suprise to anyone.

Not heard of Debt Settlers but its certainly worth checking around to see if anyone has anything to say about them but I say once bitten twice shy and I'd be careful of going into a contact with anyone if it was me.

    Good Luck

  3. Funny that Bill Waring doing his act he was supposed to have left fsf before redundancies were made - gone back - how strange. Make loads of people redundant and then take staff one - just so strange. Dont believe for one minute that they didnt want to rub the noses of those made redundant in it thats not how they work. Just another call centre now like the rest they are only running the company to line their own pockets.

  4. Hi efc

Ask them if your account now has a credit balance in your pot you will probably find out that it hasnt got one remember they take fees out every month out of what you pay to them. It does take sometime for your pot to start having an actual credit balance. My friends have now cancelled with them. Rumour has it that they are not doing any full and final settlements with creditors at the moment unless they have already begun negotiations with them. I am now helping my friends sort things out with the remaining creditors that they owe money to. We have asked the creditors how much money have they been paid by fsf and we have asked them to provide a statement which all the remaining creditors have agreed to provide. The majority of my friends creditors are easy to deal with and are polite when they have asked for the information.

You can do everything fsf are supposed to be doing for yourself and for free and there is plenty of support on this forum to help get you started.

    Good luck

  5. No no union but its the clerical sector - cant say too much about the company or full process as I know they read posts on here

and dont want to give too much away regarding what my intentions are. I always thought it last come 1st to go but they say they have consulted employment law but we know companies can say anything if they think they can get away with it.

  6. Can a company do a points system ie sickness, lateness and also take into account previous employment ie your c.v. before you started work with the company to make people redundant. Also is it right that if they state there will be three consultations and you will be informed on the third one if you are to stay or go but also give people the stay or go on a second consultation?:!:

  7. Long story cut short.

Took loan out with co-op went on a dmp stopped direct debit for loan so co-op took payment thus putting me overdrawn so then I have an unauthorised overdraft. They only did it once but still meant that I was overdrawn.

Just received DN which states that I have defaulted on my overdraft T&C and now owe 15K plus on an overdraft account.

Can they add a loan to an overdraft (overdraft balance about 100 pounds) I always thought that a loan was a separate item.

Any advise would be welcome please

    Thanks

  8. Marshall Hoares Bailiffs are not Bailiffs so dont be fooled into that one. They will only deal with emails, they do not respond to post, very odd for a company who states the Bailiff word. They state they are a paper free office, how very odd, I certainly don't know of a trading company who do not use paper. I have spoken to these people, and I use the word loosely, and I said so if we send you a cheque you are just going to ignore it then - the response - of course not, so I said why not reply to letters sent in the post - response we are a paper free office. Just goes to show how clever they are doesn't it, also Tooth Fairy wont reply to letters either.

  9. Son had problem with npower, moved out of 2 bed apartment, they were always out Mon to Fri 7 am till 8 pm never used the heaters as it was an extremely warm apartment. Submitted a reading and the final reading was more than we pay for 12 months, unbelievably npower said it was right, letters from debt collectors, npower wouldnt even come and check the meter so we involved energey ombudsman and theyre looking into it. You may like to go the same route as it certainly seems odd that its happened two years on a run and for the same quarter. If Southern Electric dont sort it this time tell them your going to the ombudsman and do it. Far too many of these suppliers are getting away with it.
