  1. Thanks Basa I thought that the box markings were strange as the others are so clear! There is also an 06-05 within column 1 and 2, if this is relevant. The more I look at it the more I seem to notice, if it is genuine it was very badly done. It has three points at the bottom of the cover page which don't tie in with anything if that makes sense- 'providing you.......' 'as long as you........' but doesn't say what happens if you do these. The other gives the telephone number of 'Customer Satisfaction Helpline' which is also gives at the bottom on column 2 on the reverse - but the telephone numbers are different?? Under right to cancel it says details will be sent but on the cover page it tells you. This also says 06-05 - now I'm really confused. And so it goes on. But where can I go from here? Your advise is much appreciated. LK
  2. Thank you for your replies everyone. My main concern was that page is A4 size with three columns, but the reverse was only the width of two columns. I cannot make out what the black strip is supposed to be. Also, in clause 3b it says "details of other service charges are set out in section 4." ......... There is NO section 4 ! Next to this its says rest of T & C in encl leaflet - I didn't think they could do this. Do you think the first column could have been pasted on? Or is this just wishful thinking. LK
  3. Hi Think I may have done it (my son helped!). http://i585.photobucket.com/albums/ss298/LadyK_20/mbna2.jpg http://i585.photobucket.com/albums/ss298/LadyK_20/mbna1.jpg Hope this is better. LadyK
  4. Thanks Sorry, I don't have access to a scanner, is this the only way? LadyK
  5. Hi S Sorry, I don't know what I have done wrong, do you know how to enlarge them? Not done this before LK
  6. Could someone please look at what MBNA have sent me. Is this enforceable?
  7. Hi aa Thank you for steering me in the right direction, looks like there's plenty to read! Your help is much appreciated!
  8. Hi Could someone please give me some advice. I put this question on the Barclaycard forum but was told I need to put it here. I have had a Barclaycard since around 1984 - 1986. I would like to know what happens with regard to PPI and charges that date back to when I took out the card. I only have statements going back to Oct 2003 and I was still paying PPI then even though I was made redundant in 1990 - so obviously did not know what it was for as I hadnt claimed. I have had no charges (until recently) applied to the card in the last six years but I did before this as with the PPI. What are the chances of me being able to claim this back? Your advice would be much appreciated.
  9. Hi Banker Rhymes I have been trying to find something on the forums that answers Slick's question, so thank you for that. But what do you mean 'but the mess works both ways I think'?
  10. Hi Could someone please give me some advice. I have had a Barclaycard since around 1984 - 1986. I have CCA'd them and they have sent me a copy of my "Conditions of Use" from when I opened my account (so they say). It has none of the prescribed terms. It also does not say when the account was opened. Firstly I would like to know where I stand if it turns out that the account was opened before May 1985. Secondly, I would like to know what happens with regard to PPI and charges that date back to when I took out the card. I only have statements going back to Oct 2003 and I was still paying PPI then even though I was made redundant in 1990 - so obviously did not know what it was for. I have had no charges (until recently) applied to the card in the last six years but I did before this as with the PPI. What are the chances of me being able to claim this back? Your advice would be much appreciated.
  11. Sorry, I didn't want to highjack thread, but as thread was asking whether CCC were agreeing to send older statements, I just wondered if they were allowed to refuse. I accept, my question as to whether I could claim back bank charges and PPI beyond 6 years should be posted elsewhere. Thank you for your replies.
  12. Hi there I have a Barclaycard Visa going back to about 1985ish. They have not responded to my CCA request received by them on the 30th Jan. I have most statments going back to 2003 which have a PPI payment on so presumably this goes back to when I opened the account, some 18years. I was only about 18 when I opened the account and had no idea about what PPI was - I was even made redundant in 2000 and did not claim as I did not know what PPI was until recently. What I really want to know before I SAR them is will I be able to claim back beyond the 6 years, the last six years (until last couple of months) have been clear of any charges. But, going back more than six years including PPI there will obviously be quite alot. I intend to send a default letter to them anyway.
  13. Sorry Williamzz forgot to ask about the name and address under Title on first column is this in your handwriting or typed on? Mine is typed.
  14. Hi Williamzz, I have had exactly the same page as your Page 1 back from MBNA. Obviously the reference numbers and date at the top and bottom are different, but the signature of Jonathan B...ck is EXACTLY the same - is this relavent (photoshop)? As well as the point about section 4, next to this its says rest of T & C in encl leaflet - I didn't think they could do this. I also picked up on mine that under 'Right to Cancel' it says will send details but gives the details on the other side - strange. It also says Credit Card Agreement on this page but on the other side invites me to Apply Today and complete the APPLICATION FORM. There is no signature box for MBNA. The reverse of my is also narrower with a 2" black strip down the inside.
