  1. JUST THOUGHT I WOULD REPOST THIS AS THE ABOVE WAS NOT VERY CLEAR I recieved a fine originally for £60 for travelling 2 stops on a bendy bus without a ticket on 30/8/2007. I did not pay this fine on the spot and didnt recieve a penalty fare ticket from the conductor. I did not hear anymore of it until I recieved a letter asking for me to pay the fine from the Marston Groups with a £50 bailiff fee on top (£110). I paid £12 of this. I recieved this letter on the 4/12/2008. I was asked to pay the same again on the 24th December but due to bereavement I forgot about this.
  2. Please keep helping me as I owe my girlfriend alot of money now and feel I was treated unfairly by the Marston Group, Mr Driscoll inparticular. My girlfriend is also a student and has now been left to struggle to afford uni. I am unemployed which apparently makes me a vunerable person. I have recieved a Debt Colletion Guidance leaflet from National Debtline which seems to tell me that this company are in the wrong. Just need to know how I go about pursuing my case??
  3. The problem is I have paid the bailiff in full because he threatened to break in to my parents house with the help of a locksmith. I told him I didn't have any money at the time and he forced me into borrowing, which I have now, from my girlfriend. Are the bailiff charges of £210 justifiable?? I was never visited and did not recieve any letters of warning other than the original letter claiming I owed £110 from Marston Group
  4. The last letter I recieved from Marstons was dated 4/12/2008. I paid £12 on 13/12/2008 after recieveing text messages to my girlfriends phone from the company. I did not hear anything after this until Friday 13th February when he demanded I pay £270 in full. I really need some help
  5. I paid £12 after recieving the letter saying I owed £110 with the Magstrates Court Order. Sorry this is all soo bloody confusing. Its just hard to explain
  6. I had paid £12 of the fine when it was £110. He claimed by telephone that the fine had gone up to £270 from £110. I did not recieve any notice of this. He then charged £275. I don't know why. I asked for a breakdown and did not recieve one. He said he had visited once before Friday 13th February but I was not warned of his visit by letter or any other means of contact I was not warned of the increase from £110 to £270 by letter or any other means of contact except for his phone call. The last letter I received (stating I owed £110) said that they had a Magistrates Court Order.
  7. I recieved a fine originally for £60 for travelling 2 stops on a bendy bus without a ticket on 30/8/2007. I did not pay this fine on the spot and recieved a letter about 1/2 a year later asking for me to pay the fine which I did not do. I then recieved a further letter with an increased fine of £110 which included a bailiffs fee of £50. I recieved this on the 4/12/2008. I paid £11 of this and incurred a £1 charge. I was asked to pay the same again on the 24th December but due to bereavement I forgot about this. I did not recieve any further contact until Friday 13th February when
