  1. Ok, I might be playing Devils advocate here a bit. I have checked and have been charged £49.99 like many of the posters here. This is a dodgy company - whatever they are called. However I can't believe that they have simply never issued a loan. That if it is a [problem] their 'Masterplan' is no more elaborate than charging £49.99 from those who leave their bank details because they are looking for a loan. We'd have to all admit that we have been very stupid. They would be stupid too as they eventually would face very harsh penalties. It remains possible that they just messed up with some loan applications. One of the first posters here talks of going to their offices and seeing a large professional open plan office fully manned. Would all those present be signed up to the [problem]? Risking their futures? If it turns out to be straight theift then I am confident I can instruct my bank to get the money back. I must admit to being worried by this, but mostly because I needed a loan a while ago and these people are taking their time.
  2. I contacted them again today and I actually got though! Basically I acted as if I knew none of the negative feedback on them and just asked about the whereabouts of my loan. I was assured that it is 7-14 working days before I would hear anything. I applied on the 14th soI am only just in the timespan they said. I will obviously keep an eye on the time. I managed to speak with two men and took a name 'Ben'. I realise this is far from watertight but they assured me my loan is on course and my paperwork would arrive within this time and if not to call back. In the meantime I guess I just have to wait. I'm nervous about taking another loan in case the same thing happens again or I am refused which damages my credit rating. Alex, how do you know only 3 out of 300 receive a loan? Where did you get this info from?
  3. I have to confess to being in two minds about this group. I only managed to re-contact them because I Googled a number I had on my phone and found this Forum. My position is that I (and I can't remember how) found their number two weeks ago and contacted them with the intent of finding a cheap loan to consolidate my debts and reduce my monthly outgoings. Like many of the Posters on this forum I was surprised when I was asked for my bank card details but the lady I was talking to seemed very helpful and said about the fee. I don't mind the whole fee thing and its small change in terms of the loan that I assumed I was getting so I said 'ok'. Alarm bells rang louder however when I asked with who had they found me a loan from. The lady said that she would'nt be able to tell me that because of the 'Data Protection Act'. What?! I didn't question her howver even though I knew this was wrong. So my current position is that I applied for the loan on the 14th and was told to expect to receive something in the post in 5 -10 working days. These have'nt quite yet expired but I am getting worried because of what I have discovered about how lousey this company is. Contacting them is a nightmare, they have answered once and I got a young sounding receptionist who was able to confirm my request but could'nt confirm anything else ie when was the agreemetn to sign dispatched or for what amount etc. I was put through to someone else she thought might be able to help and then the phone just rang and rang. I tried again today but the phone just rings and then I can hear someone just hanging up - very alarming! I'm still prepared to give them the benefit of the doubt but I'm worried I have just being billed and nothing will happen. Surely they have succesfully loaned to people, but these people we don't hear from because they are happy customers and have no need for a forum like this? I am astonished though that a Financial UK based company is run so badly - are'nt its mangers seriously worried about their future because of it? My concerns at this stage are; 1. Nothing arrives at all and I am billed anyway 2. Something arrives but not for the right amount 3. I've wasted valuable time on the whole thing I might STILL get my loan and hopefully will hear no more from the Lending Group or whatever they are called. However I really did need a loan some time ago and I've a horrible feeling that I have lost both precious time and ironically money on deciding to secure a loan via this dodgy company. Any thoughts anyone? (no hysterics please re Police etc, just rational advice will do:))
