  1. I'm awaiting my credit file but I have a default on it from RBS and the only bank account I possess is a child savings account with Lloyds (obviously I'm not a child anymore!) Lloyds claimed there are 'anomalies' on my credit file and rejected me for a bank account. So I read this thread and I applied for a Co-Op Cashminder account. I gave them a call earlier and is been 'referred'. I imagine it'll probably be rejected! They said they will let me know in 48 hours. All this with only ONE default on my credit file, no other debts! I really need a bank account for my wages to go into! I sup
  2. Sorry, it means pay in full to the solicitors!
  3. Thank you DX and Bankfodder! Sorry, I just got the reply now! Well I've requested my credit file rom experian and got the response telling to prove my identity! So I'm sending off my details! Well RBS sold the debt to CapQuest who are not bng helpful whatsoever! I requested the agreement under the CCA and they refused it stating my request does not fall under the act! I received some form of a statement which shows them overdrawing me and I assume it was due to me having a safety deposit box! But I was never told anything about the overdraft! Now I've sent a DSAR to CapQuest to provide me the
  4. Sorry I just remembered, RBS and Natwest are both the same organisation no aren't the. So if RBS have defaulted me, I won't be able to bank with Natwest will I?? I don't want to have a lo of failed applications on my credit file! Any ideas anyone???
  5. Thanks sam614!!! That helps a lot!!! Seeing as at the moment I can only receive money into my savings account which has no cash card or debit card and I can only withdraw money during banking hours! I forgot to mention the debt has been sold to CapQuest who are being very unhelpful! I'm gonna go to Natwest tmrw to apply for the basic account and I should be receiving m credit report any time soon. Is it true that as there are 3 different credit reference agencies, each would give a different report???
  6. Hmmm thanks Wanda2008 and Car!! I agree with you Car, the CAB will not do much. I've asked them to provide me further proof. I also asked for an original deed of assignment letter, they completely overlooked it and sent me a really cheeky letter stating as am requesting 'suject to information' they require £10. Now I am aware that the fee may be up to £10 but the knowledge I have s that most people just send a £1 fee for thi information. Also they keep writing to me stating MS and although I have asked them to change that also, they have ignored it. It was a very rude letter. I also forwarded
  7. Hi guys, can I just get some advice please??? I banke with RBS when I was 15 and had a safety deposit box in there, being the young teen I was, I emptied my account, and didn't think I had to lave funds in there for the box monthly charge. Anyhow, I went abroad for 8 months, whlist RBS continously allowed me to go overdrawn. I assume I had no overdraft facility. I came back to find the acc closed, and a letter from a solicitor. I complained with RBS and they told me even if I pif to the sols, I would never be able to bank with them. Fair-Enough. That was when I as 19. I then applied for a bank

  9. Hi everyone, I've had a lok trough these threads but I'm still struggling to understand a few things and I've tried to 'Google' them but I'm even more confused! To elaborate, I had a RBS child account when I was 15 which is supposed to turn into a route21 account when I turned 21. Now I had a saftey deposit box entered in this account when I was 15 which my mum wanted me to store, it just had documentation in it. Now I used the account every now and then and went abroad when I turned 19. I began being charged for an overdraft at th age of 17. To the best of my knowledge, an overdraft facility
