  3. the attachment of earnings is for council tax but a previous debt and this one is for another council tax debt which we were told ther was only one other debt but the amounts just dont add up as i have been making payments and they have completely different numbers like i say it is extremely confusing as the staff at bristow and sutor do not seem to have a clue either

I am worried as today i have a bailiff coming to my home, he came on friday but both me and my partner were out. he contacted us both via phone i told him that i was unable to do anything as i was on a school outing with my daughter, he then phoned my partner who said that we would not be able to pay the full amount, alot of him not ansewring calls and hanging up on my partner later he left a voicemail message that we had been lucky this time but he would be back on monday to collect the full amount. he has left a message on my partners phone today saying that he will be here today between 3-5
  6. well thankyou all for your help and advice i have had some luck at last after i contacted my local councillor and they have told bristow and sutor to arrange a payment schedule that we are actually able to afford and not that is easier for them.
  7. on the agreement is our two sofas our tv, a cupboard, dvd's, dvd player, nest of tables, mirror, a computer , a monitor, microwave, table and four chairs, chest of draws and a 14" tv nothing really of any value they would not get anywhere near enough for it to cover what we owe, all of my children are under 7.
  8. I naivley let a bristow and sutor bailiff into my home and signed a walk in possesion order they wanted £130 a month from us but i explained that we were unable to pay this as we already have an attachment of earning from which they are receiving £100 per month, which from my partners wages leaves £750 and then as soon as this goes into our back account ththe bank are taking 250 for our averdraft repayments. the bailiff that came round did defer the case for 5 days so that i could arrange a more suitable payment schedule, i phoned and offered to pay £50 per month but was told that this is not

  10. I have naively let a bristow and sutor bailiff into my home to levy goods they wanted £130 a month which i told them that we could not afford as there is already an attachment of earnings on my partners wages and they are already receiving £100 per month leaving us with £750 of which our bank is now taking £250 to pay back our overdraft. They put a 5 day deferal on the case which they then told me to phone the head office to arrange a suitable payment arrangement which i did i offered them £50 per month but was told that the least that they would accept would be £80 which i reluctantly aggreed
