  1. I have had a car on HP for 2 years and now qualify for motobility which would be better for me, can I return the car and what would be the problems I may encounter?
  2. We have a 4 year car hire purchase with Welcome and I have been told that you can end this after a 2 year period, I now get higher rate mobility allowance so would be better off getting a Motability car. Has anyone any advice with regards to this. Also you can pay Welcome over the phone as they have an automated linenow which i use every month, it is a bit long winded but it works.
  3. Hi we got finance for a car from TFC 2 years ago and unfortunately it was in a no fault accident and written off 6 months after we bought it. We had PPI and GAP insurance which we were told would cover everything if there was an accident and we would not be out of pocket. The insurance company paid out promptly and we thought that we the end of it. No, we then got a letter some 8 months later stating we still owed them over £4,000. When I rang to ask them about this I could not get a straightforward reply so I wrote to them to ask them to explain the outstanding balance. They just sent a standard letter back. They did say some of the balance was for the PPI, which I asked them to cancel and they did this but still would not give a reason for the rest. After many letters and phone calls, which I have now asked them to stop phoning, we are still none the wiser as to why we owe this money and I am not going to contact them any more and await the next letter. I intend to take this matter further, if anyone can give advice I would appreciate it
  4. Hi new to this site and really interested in what everyone is saying about this company. Hubby got a car loan from welcome car finance and we had no problems until last month. I had to cancel the direct debit last year as I had been the victim of an internet [problem] which meant having to change bank details. I rang every month and made the payments with my card. I asked them for another debit mandate and completed and sent this back. They set this up but did not give me a payment date and could not help when I rang them tof ind out, so I cancelled the mandate and made payments using their telephone payment service. I got a letter from them last week to say they had charged me £20 for cancelling the debit mandate and also 2 charges of £10 each for letters they sent which I did not receive. I wrote back to them to request how they can justify cahrging for ME cancelling the mandate and to let them know the payments were being made through their other service. I am still waiting to hear back from them and will let you know what happens when I do
