Right my wife just called to say that weve got a letter from the council det collectors saying we owe over 500 pound in council tax from (edit) 2001 and 2002!! I know for a fact I dont owe it plus this is the first they've mentioned it! I pay by direct debit 2 days after pay day and I get paid monthly so I know I could never have missed it. Aslo the bank would have paid it and charged me anyway. I cant check with the bank as they only hold data for 5 years so what do I do here?
