Hi, Would someone have a look at this CCA too and let me know if it is a valid one please? Thanks x http://i79.photobucket.com/albums/j157/Jo_Pinkpegasus/Topshopcca-1.jpg Ignore the name of the link, I mixed it up with my topshop acc!! silly me.

I wondered if it meant that but then thought, they know its only my name on the account so unsure why they would put that on? Thanks xx

Hi, received CCA from Style and was wondering if someone would look to check if it is valid for me please? I am guessing it is? Thanks http://i79.photobucket.com/albums/j157/Jo_Pinkpegasus/StyleCA1.jpg http://i79.photobucket.com/albums/j157/Jo_Pinkpegasus/StyleCA2.jpg I have actually signed the first one, its just too dark to see it.

Hi, I have just received a full and final acceptance letter, which I want to pay, but need clarification on some wording please. The letter is from Direct legal and collections, the debt was originally with Egg. We confirm that we will accept £xxxx in full and final settlement of your debt. Our client reserves the right to persue any oher borrowers for the remaining balance. Your payment must reach us by xxx. If your payment is not received by the agreed date, this offer will be withdrawn and the full balance will be payable. Does the highlighted text mean that though I have F & F, though its only a partial payment, can they sell the remainder on and another company can chase me? Thanks xxx

With regards to my Halifax default, does the date the letter was sent (12 June) and the date payment is required (21st June) make it invalid? As there is less than a 14 day period? ta xx

Been offline as moved house, but it's been well over 12 + 30 days since I sent the CCAs off to Direct Legal. Received statements of my accounts from them and they have actually cashed the cheques to my account! Gonna read back through some other threads to find the correct letter to send now.

Hi, thanks for that 42. Would someone have a look at the default bit at the bottom, please? Cheers.

Received this letter and copy of agreement yesterday, damn. Obviously hoped they didn't have it. Would someone have a look to see if it is enforceable please? Thanks... http://i295.photobucket.com/albums/mm132/Johannawalker_photo/letter.jpg http://i295.photobucket.com/albums/mm132/Johannawalker_photo/hali1.jpg http://i295.photobucket.com/albums/mm132/Johannawalker_photo/hali2.jpg http://i295.photobucket.com/albums/mm132/Johannawalker_photo/hali3.jpg Thanks in advance. I was also sent a default notice for the same account last year even though I was regularly paying through Payplan, I have posted this below, would someone also have a look for me to see if this is valid please? Thanks xxxxx http://i295.photobucket.com/albums/mm132/Johannawalker_photo/haldefault1.jpg http://i295.photobucket.com/albums/mm132/Johannawalker_photo/haldefault2.jpg Not heard a thing from Direct Legal!!!

Yeah, they should have used it towards the debt I owe them!!! ha ha

Nothing yet from Direct Legal, but received letter from Halifax as below and my £1 cheque back with a compliment slip. Does this mean that they are not even going to try to send a copy of my CA? http://i79.photobucket.com/albums/j157/Jo_Pinkpegasus/halifaxresponse1.jpg

Hi, just a quick one..hopefully. My Barclaycard CC have agreed to pay back all my charges including interest. The whole debt was not made up of purely charges, and the refund is going onto the account, but I would like to request that they remove the default as the charges 'helped' me get into too much debt. Do I send off the S.10 letter, on the main template thread or do I need another one before I accept their offer? Thanks in advance xxxx
-
Cheers for that. I know I have stored the next letter somewhere just in case. haha.

Starting a thread re me sending off CCAs to the above re chasing payment, me wishing to full and final them and possibly have a couple of defaults removed. Sent recorded and just checked, both delivered today. Do their initial 12 days begin from today as today is the delivery date? Ta in advance xx

Hi, Would anyone be able to give me any advice please? I am currently insured with Elephant for car Insurance and have been for about 3 years. My husband was with them and I got a good discount for going with them also. When I moved to them, I was never sent a copy of my no claims bonus and never requested one as the Elephant man! said they would match my husbands NCD of full. Now I have gotten a cheaper quote from another company and called Elephant to see if they could match it, as I have been happy with them, but they say they can only match it if I send proof of my previous NCD, as I have only earned 2 years with them. Unfortunately for me, my previous company is Axa Direct who are no longer. I have called the company who took them over and spoke to about 12 different people and no-one knows what I am on about. So I can't get hold of my NCD. Am I just going to have to pay the more expensive amount with Elephant until I build up to full no claims discount, or because I in theory already have full NCD but no proof shall I just go with the new company and hope they dont ask for proof? Any advice welcome, thanks Jo xxx

Hi, I am looking for a bit of advice regarding paying off my debts and wondering if anyone could give me some advice please? I am in a position to offer to pay full and final settlements to my creditors. On this site I have read to start with a 10% offer then work up. I was wondering if anyone who has offered low f and f figures, what the lowest percentage is that anyone has had accepted. I did contact Robinson Way a few months ago and asked via phone(I will get anything in writing though) and they said about 75% but to call back when I actually am in possession of the funds. I am presuming that they will accept 75% obviously, but was wondering what to write back and actually offer? Any suggestions please, thanks in advance. xxxxx:D

Natwest & Payplan - can anyone advise?
Pinkpegasus replied to fridayaft07's topic in Debt management and Debt self-help
When I started with Payplan, a couple of my creditors still kept pestering me, but I just kept telling them to call Payplan. After a few months they stopped, though they ring me on an odd occasion every few months. -

Pinkpegasus replied to SharpmanTF1's topic in Debt management and Debt self-help
Hi, I'm with Payplan and have been now since about 2005. They really helped me out and were very reassuring. During the setting up process and the settling in stage I was handled by an advisor here in England, but as things are now just ticking away, I have been passed to an advisor in another country who doesn't understand my accent, and I don't understand theirs. I recently wasn't able to make a payment via their phonelines as the foreigh advisors dont have switch machines - now I use the website which is just up and running. I have also been advised to clear my debt when I remortgage!!!! Which according to a lot of users on here is a big no no! I also requested full and final settlement figures (in case I did remortgage) and payplan said if I couldn't raise 80% then it wasn't worth me doing it. They said that I shouldn't pay off just one creditor if I got a lump sum together as the others would find out and go after me for the money! I had considered asking some creditors if they would accept about 50-60% but after reading threads on here, and looking at template letters, the amount to start at is a really low percentage and 50% is what I should work up to. I was wondering if I am able to send off CCA requests like the above two posters have done, but am scared it will invalidate my DMP. Can anyone confirm this please? -
Legality of leaving engine running unattended
Pinkpegasus replied to jaffacat's topic in General Consumer Issues
It is a £30 fine and a non endorseable ticket. -
Bumping my thread as couldn't find it since last posting. Have had all statements back except one account. Will sort that out at a later date. Worked out charges and need to send the next letter. If anyone reads this, does it matter that I have not stuck to time limits? e, i didn't immediately send the letter once I received the statements?
