Hi All, Wanted to share a quick success and say definitely worth continuing pursuing these types of claims. After initially requesting SAR from Halifax credit card I received an offer for the charges which I've initially rejected and awaiting to hear back but today received a letter regarding my missold PPI saying that they have investigated and agreed I was missold and will return the card back to the status as though no PPI had been taken out, if they include interest charges on the balance it will mean a return of some £900!!!!!! Has just made my year as money so tight at the moment!

Ok next bit of help please, received reply from First plus having previously asked for one extension they have now written saying the following. "We are not yet in a position to provide you with a full response to your complaint but we are investigating the issues you raised. We will contcat you again no later than May 13th. a full response has taken a little longer than expected and at this stage you do have the option to ask the Financial Ombudsman Service to review your complaint, if you do wish. I very hope to resolve your complaintg without the need to do this. Blah blah blah, contact us if you wish on this number etc" So what do I do, take it to the FOS or give them the extra month they are asking for, any advice? Thanks

I didn't send back the questionnaire but have today received another letter stating that they remain committed to resolving my complaint as quickly as they can and will contact me again by the 15th April, this is a further month on from the 16th March. I think that they have 8 weeks to comply to the original request that I complained on is this correct and therefore is it just a case of waiting? Thanks in advance for any advice! Dr C

Hi all, Having sent off my SAR and lodging my complaint about being missold PPI they have responded saying they will come back to me by 16th March but have also included a complaints questionnaire to help them investigate my case. I haven't read anyone else having received this, is it common practice and am i ok to complete ie. It won't detrement my case in anyway by filling it in? I know it sounds silly but just wanted to check. Appreciate any views. Thanks.

First plus PPI reclaim help - please
Dr C replied to Dr C's topic in Payment Protection Insurance (PPI)
Thanks Incipience, I have received my subject access request information and believe that it backs up the points that I claim for miss-sell. It was arranged in Sept 06 and directly with First plus and not through any brokers, does this make a difference? I can draft a suggested letter and post on here before sending if people woild be willing to review for me. Thanks Dr C.
