  3. you should send the letters Recorded... FWIW, i didnt have any problems getting my refunds out of GE Capital. A Prelim letter for each account was enough for them to roll over. i was VERY surprised, i must say.
  4. i got a considerable refund on my two GE Capital accounts for charges last month. July was overdue, i paid it a week late, and i paid the August bill on time. Payment has cleared into the accounts. i went to buy a dress at Debenhams yesterday, both cards decline. i've just spent 30 minutes going round in circle with some poor helpless girl in India (apparently all her supervisors left her and went home as it was after close...) who has delightfully informed me that it was their policy to put a block on my account until my next bill as my payment the previous month was late, EVEN THOUGH i am now up to date. surely this cannot be right/legal...?!
  5. Paypal told me that anything going overseas should be sent by courier if i want to be covered. they are an absolute joke.
  6. well ive emailed numerous times and nowt. there is a number on her account that vaguely resembles a telephone number, so i will give that a go next.
  7. you cant have a confirmed address in spain. trackable delivery is only applicable to paypal cover if the item is going to the uk or usa. ive just tried to report it to ebay its is already been 45 days, apparently. i only found out yesterday.
  8. i sold a tshirt over a month ago. recieved payment straight away, had a few emails with the buyer about how pleased she was to win, and i sent the item. a month later, paypal have taken the money with no explanation. i phoned them yesterday to be told a fradulant card was used for payment, and i have no protection whatsoever. this buyer now has my item, god knows where my money is AND SHE IS STILL BEING ALLOWED TO TRADE ON EBAY. what can i do? the buyer is in spain, and has fabulous feedback. i am livid and my paypal account is well into negative because of this.
  9. excellent, thankyou!
  10. yeah, i phoned smile and they said they weren't allowed to discuss it over the phone, but to send a secure message to Team 314 asking the question... i was just wondering how to word it really, so they were aware that they'd already refunded once.
  11. i have had a refund from Co-Op Visa, however since my initial letters, more charges have been applied. is there a standard letter that can be used to request this back? with my refund from smile, i sent them a secure message asking if the additional charges would be refunded, and they've processed it as a complaint so now have to wait while they "investigate it" yet again.
  12. i sent them a secure message about the outstanding charges, and recieved a standard reply by letter a week later so have to start from scratch again. at least you got your additional charges back straight away.

oh and i when i offered to make a payment towards the loan, i was told that the only way was to put the money into the old bank account, but that it would go toward paying off charges first and not the loan itself, thus causing me to default! :o
