  1. Anita, give them a call and say you cant afford the increase. Depending who you get they will either try to negotiate an amount between your increase and what it was or just put it back to what it was. If you stay persistant the chances are very likely to go back to £50!
  2. Ill do that straight away. I think the reason why they have not taken money off me is am always in my overdraft. My wages go in then the rent and bills all come out the day after!
  3. Well i cant see them stating they do a credit search on any of their current accounts. Will defo open one up now, thanks DX! Id given up when i got turned down for a basic cash account with Natwest, figured my credit file was really bad.
  4. Hi Anita, Your acc should have been reviewed at either 3 or 6 months with them. Dont break your plan with them but id suggest calling them and asking when your review is due.
  5. Thats what i thought and thats why i have not challenged it. They did give me the loan based on my income from benefits, that was irresponsible but i have to take some responsibility for my stupidity too. I did do some reading up and it would be classed as an unfair relationship but worry now that am working that would go against me as i am potentially able to pay the loan back on a arrangement.
  6. No i definately dont want to do that. Am hoping to wait the 6 years from default. Maybe they know they have completly messed me up from getting a morgage or even waiting for me to come into some money as am always in my OD with my current acc with them! I did want to challenge the loan under unfair relationship but dont feel clever enough to do so and i understand i would open up the account and potentially move my default date.
  7. Hi DX, What do you mean what do the CRA say? My file shows the default in 2009 and that its still with Barclays. I agree am lucky but am also worried and curious!
  8. Hi, This sounds really silly but i took out a unsecured loan back in 2007 with Barclays and defaulted in 2009 owing just under £25k. I still bank with them as my current account is with them. What am confused about is that they are not pursuing me for it! They know where i live and know all my income and out goings. does anyone have any idea as to why its not been sold on or why they are not chasing me for it?
  9. Hi PmW, I forgot to say that the sent a signed agreement this time
  10. Hello everybody. Well what can i say, i spoke to guy called shaun in customer relations with the fact someone broke data protection. I also asked for him to chase up my CCA. He managed to get it for me and have since received it. Unfortunately i have also had a default put on my name too on the 25th Feb. So i guess to all the people who have been receiving the same docs as me is maybe you should set up payments or continue with them as i think cap1 are being awkward and ultimately its us who wil have the adverse info recorded on our credit files.
  11. Well buzby if your in a contract you cant just move off! Watchdog as in BBC watchdog and my mistake i meant 3 (three) the service provider. Also '3' on their website allow you to check what coverage you would get from them and in my area state i would have full access to to the 3G network including video calling and internet which i dont.
  12. Hi all just to advise i put a complaint into watchdog about 3G and their reception along with the non existant customer service. Received a call on friday but unfortunately the woman ran out of time on my answer messaging service when leaving a number for me to call back on. Anyway i am thinking they have alot of 3G customers complaining for them to contact us so maybe its worth contacting watchdog for those of you who havent.
