  5. It seems that those with valid claims are now starting to get settlements. In some cases such as Citicard,it is Citicard themselves who have liability. You should demand to know the periods covered by their offers of settlement and make sure it includes interest.
  6. Have mentioned this before. Following an investigation by the FSA CPP were fined a total of £10.5m CPP was applied to both Associates cards and later Citi branded cards. It seems that CPP have a liability themselves for some agreements,while Citicard themselves have a Liability for others. If you have tried seeking a refund from CPP directly,they may refer you to Citicard,who will send you a letter saying they are investigating. I waited almost 6 months for Citicard to complete their inquiries which then saw them sending a cheque for 1 years CPP membership with no interest added. T

  8. Yes good point. The irony is that most of our water companies,like our main infastructures are now foreign owned. This would not be tolerated in quite a few countries.

  10. It seems that the authors of these letters agreements and statements that we keep seeing,have lots of time on their hands. In respect of severe disruption,The only disruption is to the person who is faced with having to decipher the drivel that is being sent to them !
  11. Good point Ford any chance that you could post this clause it is something that would be very handy for quick reference since we see a lot of complaints about this.

I have TT ulimited BB and phone and my bills are only £25 a month-would be £20.50 if was using DD. Setbox receivers are coming down now.
  13. Can you confirm what periods the loan relates to-when was it taken out ?
  14. Tell them you do not wish to discuss this by phone and a letter has been sent to this effect (It needs to be done) If you have any possibility to record their calls-then do so. It is very likely that they will be saying you have breached the agreement and this is very serious etc etc. All scare tactics. They may try to say that by accepting their agreement and making a payment,that this is an admission of liability. There is case laws to address this -specifically that you made the payment under mistaken belief that there was a liability.

  16. Ok but this permission for them to contact you by phone can be withdrawn at any time. Is there any news on the arrangements offered to pay ? Has your Mum agreed ?
  17. A letter needs sending stating that you do not wish to deal with any matters by telephone,and that all communications be kept strictly in writing. If they ignore this then they are in breach of both Consumer and Statute laws.
