  4. Hello again gang. I've just been reading the court bundle bit as i've just paid my £120 court fee on MCOL...HOW THE HELL AM I SUPPOSED TO UNDERSTAND THAT!!! Pant Pant Pant lol....It says make it your own and dont forget to add in your own information....BUT ITS ALL GOBBLEDYGOOK TO ME! I wouldnt know what bits to put in where if my life depended on it! Help and paper bag for the hyperventilating please. (Didnt have to go through all this when i claimed from Nationwide last year - they didnt do court bundles SOB ) As Scooby Doo would say.....HEYULP Nursiepoos x x x
  5. Hi everyone, I've just paid the £120 via MCOL to start a claim for nearly £2k against Barclays and now Ive been reading about what to do next. It looks like I get an Allocation Questionnaire soon and thats I have to send in ANOTHER £100. Is this right? Don't know if I'll be able to afford it, and I don't get any benefits or anything. Nursiepoos
  6. Hi Poppy07, thanks for your message. It all seems so long ago now, it was last year that i got all that lovely cash back from Nationwide (and its all gone now lol!). Please be reassured that it DOES work and you WILL get your money back, just keep following the system advised on this site. Nationwide sent me a letter basically saying get lost too, just ignore it and go to the next stage. It cost me £250 on Moneyclaim online to sue Nationwide for £11,270.00 but about a week after i received my Acknowledgement of Service (a document sent to you from the court) the money started being paid into my account, in amounts of £250 over 2 days and i got every penny back, although they did close my account after 30 days so make sure you have another account ready. Its no hassle making a few phone calls to change over any D/Debits etc. Good Luck and stick with it, its real scary but it works!! They ALWAYS back down. Nursiepoos x x x
  7. Hi, Does anyone have a letter I can send back to Barclays re either refusing the offer of £700 (claim is for £1500) or the one i've seen accepting it at part payment etc etc. Cheers peeps nursiepoos x
  8. Did you guys have to send these"court bundles" that are terrifying me (only at the LBA stage at the mo - sending it today). Nursiepoos x
  9. Hi all, On reading the Step by Step instructions (by Dave in 2006) he states that..."ALL got their money back before a court hearing has been heard". Is this still the case? Thanks Nursiepoos?
  10. Congrats Nightstar. I had a massive £11k+ success against Nationwide last year with no problems...did it all through the letters and MCOL. Now im trying to help my brother claim £1700 from Barclays but it seems much more complicated. Could you give me a quick breakdown of the "journey"...i've just sent the LBA letter. Im finding it hard to find a list of the procedures again. Its just that a few of the threads i've seen mention "Court Bundles" and actually having to go to court, not sure we're prepared to do that. Thanks Nursiepoos x
  11. Hi LucyLou, Congrats, on your success. Barclays will have lost by default, the courts dont give second chances . I had a massive £11k+ success against Nationwide last year and am now trying to help my brother claim £1500 against Barclays. I'm just about to send the LBA letter. Looking through the stories about Barclays i'm unsure about the proceedings, these "court bundles" I keep hearing about are new to me...didnt have to do that with Nationwide, are they complicated? Nursiepoos x
  12. Did everything work out in the end? Or did you go to court? x
  13. Hi all, Having been successful with a £11,500 claim against Nationwide last year I am now claim against Barclays for my brother (a mere £1585 lol) but having read some of these threads the dread is setting in. What are these "Court bundles" I keep reading about? Do Barclays actually bother going to court??? Love to you all x x x
  14. Crikey, are Barclays a nightmare or what!!! I was successfull in my £11,500 claim against Nationwide last year and am now starting all over again with Barclays on behalf of my brother (a mere £1585 claim) I've been reading threads regarding Barclays and the feeling of dread is setting in already lol, What on earth are the Court Bundles I keep reading about? Do I just floolw CAG's advice as normal? Love to you all Nursiepoos x x x
  15. Hi all, I've finally got up off my knees lol. Had a letter from Deborah Desborough at nationwide HQ today to say that she has refunded the full £11,247.00 plus my £250 court costs today and to contact her if i have any further queries! Not been told they're closing my acc yet but have opened parachute acc with lloyds today anyway on Dolly's advice.
  16. OMG OMG OMG I'm in shock. It does work, and these advisors aren't crazy! Lol. Total claim £11,247.00 Data Protection Act letter sent 06/06/06 Prelim Letter 24/07/06 (LBA not sent as they charged me another £750 last month and wouldnt negotiate 2 days for me to get the money in the bank so I threw a hissy fit and went straight to the moneyline stage, willingly handing over the £250 fee) Moneyline claim 10/8/06 Acknowledgement of Service 14/8/06 22/08/06 - Payment into account - £250.00 23/08/06 - Payment into account - £9,080.00!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Presumably they'll pay the rest today or tommorrow. I'm over the moon. All those jitters were worth it. Keep going everybody, if they can pay me back £11,000 then they are admitting that they cant justify their charges. I might even claim back the £750 they charged me last month now lol. (New acc with Lloyds opening tommorrow.) Many many thanks to Dolly for all you support and advice. We will hand over 5% gladly and thankfully. (Not sure what to do about the court now though, I see there is a customer helpline phone number on the Moneyline site, will give them a call.) Could Dolly or a Moderator please contact me for details of how I can hand over some of this lovely lolly ) x x x xx xx
  17. Hi everyone, Well this morning I received the Notice of Acknowledgment of Service and Nationwide intend to defend all of my claim. OK, so now i feel like caving in already . What a wuss. I cannot bear the thought of actually going to court, although Dolly-site helper- has kindly offered to dig out some information for me. I know i'll get all tongue tied and incoherent lol. the thing is £11k is a huge amount thats worth fighting for, i dread to think what i'll have to pay out if i lose! Prayers and crossing of appendages welcome x
  18. Thanks to all those who replied. Yes £11k is a huge amount, and dont forget thats just the last 6 years. I 've banked with them for 17 years. We really are that bad at running our account, its quite embarassing really, but most of the time the money has only been a day or two late being paid in (hubby self employed) but even if you ring them and say this is going to happen they aren't interested in helping you out. Today we received a Notice of Issue from the court letting us know that our claim had been lodged and that Nationwide had been sent their docs on 10/08/06. they have until 29/08/06 to reply. will keep you all updated. I think I read somewhere that this site would like my claim number/court details etc so they can track my progress too, cant remember where i saw it tho...anyone know? keep in touch mates x x
  19. Hi all. Have finally worked out how to post a thread lol. After following the procedures suggested on this site I have today paid £250 via the Moneyclaim court site to claim back the £11+k i have paid in charges to Nationwide. Basically their reply to my initial letters was "tough". Ill keep you all posted. Everyone cross your fingers for me please  . Good luck to you all.
  20. Hi all, Ive finally worked out how to post a thread lol. Have just paid £250 via the Moneyline court system to claim back the £11+k i've been charged by Nationwide over the last 6 years. Could you all please cross your fingers for me  . Nationwides reply to my claim was that I agreed to their terms and conditions so tough...so as I couldnt pop down the the high street and thump the branch manager I had to proceed to court. Will keep you all posted. Good luck everyone
